For the first time since April 2022, the New Jersey Devils got shutout. The Detroit Red Wings pretty much dominated the Devils for the entirety of the game. It seems as though the Devils don’t have a backup plan when things go wrong, and they desperately need to make some changes before it’s too late.

this is Fitz's team and the amount of mistakes he made during summer is astonishing! Signing Meier – 1st, letting Tatar go – a dynamic 20 goal scorer who only got paid $3M – 2nd mistake, letting M. Wood go – a dynamic 4th liner and 15-20 goal scorer!!, a very good PK playler and a guy who could hit – 3rd and a HUGE mistake!!! Now our 4th line is pathetic!!!! AND YOU LOT COMPLAINED ABOUT M. WOOD AND NOW COMPLAIN THAT NOBODY HITS ON THE DEVILS TEAM!!!! You just dont let this kind of player like Wood go! Just dont! Fitz brought players like Tierney, Nosek- players who would not even make AHL now!!! All money you spend now on Tierney and Nosek could have been used to sign M. Wood!!!He gets paid in Colorodo less than what Devils paid him!!! Fitz burned 1 year of entry level contract of L. Hughes – a player who still should not be in NHL – he is still too young and needs to bulk up! These are just major mistakes by Fitz…

Why was the GM sign Timo when he did nothing instead of signing graves
The defense has been bad all season. Prior to this game Vitek has made some good saves and the defense made him look bad, but this game was by far his worst showing. Top these with no offense, we looked terrible, like you said rock bottom. Something needs to change, probably coaching, but I would start with defense. Try and bring in Zedorov and Tanev! Try and get Vejmelka, Vladar, Markstrom, Hart, Binnington. Idk Sarros would be a miracle. Woodcroft as a coach is available.

Step 3) show up mad and ready. This is a MUST win for their mentality, even if it doesn't vault them too far up in the standings.
The devils beating the Rangers in the first round only helped the Rangers future. We ended up with a better coach and now the Rangers are hungrier. Thank you Devils. I live in Jersey and all my kids were born here but I’m born and raised in NYC 🗽so my heart will always be with NY. LGR
