The Oilers need to be very careful, because if the trade away future picks or prospects to unload bad contracts and pickup a goalie for a season that is more or less over, could hurt them next year as well.

Why would a team take Campbell the only chance that happens if the oilers trade their best prospect and this years first and that’s a starting point teams should set their asks high the oilers have no leverage here
Impossible to see how any trade could fix all of the deficiencies in this team that prevent it from being a legit cup contender.
And anything less is a waste – especially considering the amount of the future that will have to be sacrificed to do it.

Edmonton's problem is management and probably ownership. Just about everyone agrees that the Oilers need a good dman and a good goalie. It has been that way for years now and managements answer has always been let's get another forward who will do nothing to take the pressure off McDavid and Drai to score two or three points each every game to have a chance to win

the problem lies witht he 5 out front, they cant defend worth a shit, nobody cares about defending only points scoring and the main issue in the team is 100% Connor and Leon.
they cost the team the most goals FACT, just inthe last 2 games alone mcdavid coughed up the puck 6 times resulting in 6 goals being scored within 8 seconds of him doing it and he gives ZERO FUCKS about helping out to get the puck back ANYTIME the team loses it. same for leon coughed up 2 rest was a combo of Nurse, Ekholm and Broberg and a team goal they all just litteraly stood and watched a player skate past for a rebound connor being 1 of them,
ALL the goalies in the oilers set up are being hung out to dry ALL have had there moral shot to shit even before they step on it and all are being ruined by other players. its a joke

Mrazek has played well to start the season, when the defense plays well in front of him. But I wouldn’t expect him to single-handedly turn things around.
