   If the Oilers really want Montembeault they will have to overpay to the extreme. And you want the Habs to take Campbell and his contract. How about 2 unprotected first rounders and Bourgault as starters.

   Re: Oilers: what a mess indeed!!! I watched the game tonight and as we've agreed on for as long as I've been following your TSH podcast…"D" sucks and their "G" situation is at sieve level!!!! They had a solid 3rd with great opportunities until McD took the interference penalty with about 3 minutes to go and he throws his arms up like it was a bad call….IT WAS A PENALTY!!!! That team is in total disarray!!!!
   Re: Laine: what you see is what you get!!! Any team that has him has to take the bad with the good. He sucks at his defensive game and if he's not scoring more than he's on the ice for goals against then he's a major liability. I wonder if he still feels he's better than Austen Matthews??? 😁 Not even close.

    If I was Blackwood or Montembeault I would retire rather than go to the Oilers. The Sharks are awful. The whole team is, but they're rebuilding and the whole team is owning it. The Canadiens are bad, but so are a lot of the perennial good teams and the team is actually working decently together. The Oilers are awful and treat their goalies like they are the only thing wrong with the team. The Oilers are playing like dogshit and are refusing to address the actual problem.

    The Oilers are a mess. The the Leaf are also a disaster. But the Leafs are not as much of a disaster compared to the Oilers.

    Both teams are in need of serious management changes.

    Both teams need serious help on Defense. The Oilers seem to have burned through all their expected up coming D. The Leafs have no serious contenders coming up from the minors to fill any real defensive minded defending skater type roles. The Leafs are mess and so are the Oilers.

    Oh well if we can't bet on these games responsibly we'll just have to buy lottery tickets.

    Yeah well, I said 3 years ago that McDavid was the bigger problem and he's doing nothing to dispell my claim. Has zero charisma and fewer leadership skills. Not likable in a little sense. Oilers move his ass and see how things will turn around. The guy doesn't want to be in Edmonton and it's really showing this season.

    Can you guys just leave Woody the F alone he’s gone obviously he’s not a very good head coach to me he’s a joke he had no rights to take that head coach from Tippett and Todd McLeod goes to coaches are way better coaches, and Woody he was an assistant coach under Todd. He was never a head coach in NHL. We got a rookie head coach, and he got lucky a year and a half ago to bring this team where it went. We had the players at the time, and we got rid of some good players Why don’t we just start off of getting rid of Coach goalie I don’t understand why this guy still has a job. Please every time I listen to you buddy you bringing up this woody what are you dating him don’t know enough he’s not here anymore move on I all I’m saying he’s not a head coach put that through your skull head . Trust me and believe me if he gets another head coach position he’ll be fired in three months.

    Oilers are screwed. Hyman and Nurse are un moveable, Campbell is going to cost a ton to move and replace. McDavid and Drai have fallen off the bus. Why are they not bringing up young prospects who will actually put in an effort?

    I would like to see Calgary trade 4 of their pending UFAs by the TDL. Unfortunately, it will be difficult to make four trades by March 8 and still getting decent returns for all of them. Assuming that the Flames would want draft picks and not prospects; they would probably get the highest returns for Elias Lindholm (1st+3rd+?) who plays equally well at both C & RW and Noah Hanifin (1st+?) a very solid 2nd pairing LD. Nikita Zadorov (2nd or 3rd?) has already asked for a trade. The rumour is that he wants more TOI. He skates extremely well for a big man (6'6", 235lb.) and can play either side. 33 year old Chris Tanev (2nd or 3rd?) is rumoured to be willing to accept a salary decrease on his next contract, but wants a term longer than 2 years.

    We need to unload J. Allen to help absorb Campbells salary if this is the road the Habs take……otherwise we're taking on a full 5+ Mill contact. Monahan is a no go right now….we don't have another center with Dach out for the season. This is not a good trade…Campbell is damaged goods right now with a huge salary and still tern left….Why do you think the Oilers are trying to unload him….HABS always seem to be in the rumor mill of getting damaged goods or taking on salary cap..we alredy have Alzner, Karl still on a buyout, we're retaining salary on Jeff Petry and Joel Edmondson which is about 6 Mill over the next 2 season, then we have Joel Armia with buried cap space…I mean this is an utter JOKE for the Habs then taking on Campbells contract…..this is nonsense

    Kent Hughes has all the leverage on this trade. No reason to give up Monty or Monahan without some serious return, especially if the Oilers are trying to dump Jack's salary. Habs are slightly above expectations with a decent young goalie on a bargain contract while Edmonton is tanking and desperate for a goalie/defenseman.
