This creates a roster spot but not cap space

With an emergency recall not an option for tonight, #IslesĀ could send Simon Holmstrom down ($863,333), which would create $1.397 M in space.
Holmstrom is waiver-exempt.
Then any of the likely D options could be recalled without anyone having to go on IR/LTIR:
