No goalie hug in our building!
Absolute statement win.
We just put the league on notice with that one. Yeah the Bruins may have put up four, but with a team of that caliber it’s to be expected. The important thing to take account of, is that we kept up defensively and especially offensively dropping a whole ass touchdown on them. This team is for real, they are firing on all cylinders and they clearly want to play for us and each other and win! Oh and this is still without Adam Fox and Filip Chytil. Unreal.
See you Monday.

(checks league standings) EVERYONE SAY IT WITH ME
WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE
WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE
WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE
(checks how QPR did) they lost!?! fire gallant it’s his fault
What a win! Anyone have the xG from this game? 7-4 and both goalies played great.
HELP ME I’M SO PENISY
That timeout at 2-2 was the difference in this game. Coaching has elevated us to new heights this year so far.
As a peak doomer; even i can’t say anything bad right now. Cuz holy shit wow
Top of the standings! LGR!
(At least for a few hours until Vegas demolishes the Coyotes lol)
Watched on my phone (thanks to a stream of dubious legality) from a brewery a few miles south of the Vermont/Canada border. The outburst I had when Miller scored is not reflective of who I am (it is)
BOSTON SUCKS
Sure, winning is cool, but knowing that we are responsible for bringing down the happiness index in Pittsburg, Philadelphia, and Boston during a Holiday week… that’s the best.
Not that I dislike the guy, but the drop off from Vally to Maloney is crazy
Hell Yeah!!! #1 Baby! Bonino Bonino Bonino!!!
Holy crap! I watched like 1/2 the game on the plane (Delta Wifi) on stream while it paused like every 10 seconds. That was a HUGE win and we dominated. Defense needs to shore up and stop taking bad penalties.
Mika is coming alive and our 4th line has been dominant. Getting so much production from every line is what wins the Cup.
Quick is 6-0-1. Who woulda thought.
Guys normally I would say don’t get Penisy but… ah WTH LFGR!!!!!!
Try not to smoke a cigarette after scrolling left to right through the Team Stats section above challenge (impossible)
Watching Lav’s postgame, all I can say is this: “look! you see that? that’s a coach w/a plan. the previous guy…. looked like Saleh and Boone all rolled into one.”
GOOD MORNING. GOOD AFTERNOON. GOOD EVENING BOSTON!!!
NYR at 5v5 with Jones on the ice:
shot attempts 17-10
shots 8-4
scoring chances 9-4
high dangers 5-2
55% xGF%
certainly good
don’t know what they’re going to do when Chytil comes back, but to break up 71/21/26 so they can reunite 21/12/26 and their 15% xGF% is not an option
After saying 3rd periods are scary yesterday, strong 3rd today. They never let off the gas at all.
My theory on the high scoring game: the Rangers are the better team. So the Bruins had to push harder and take more chances. Which yielded their goals but also all of the Ranger’s high quality chances
No points for Laf but I thought he had another great game. Some high quality scoring chances and set up his linemates a few times. Probably should have had a couple points. Vesey was awesome today.
LGR
I’M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW! FIRST IN EVERYTHING! IDK WHAT TO DO WITH MY HANDS!
Replay with MSG feed is available now on ESPN+. I thought I would have to wait until tomorrow to hear Sam’s beautiful voice.
Reporting in from the train home from MSG: this was a good game.
Quick was great, but you can’t say we only win on goaltending anymore. All around team that wins no matter the kind of game. Without a 2C and norris defensemen. The rangers are here to stay
This team looked really good despite missing chytil, their Norris winning dman, and having a single top 6 RW on the roster
The first two problems will fix themselves. But RW depth blows after LAF. they really need to add a top 6 RW.
Could it be our year boys?!?! Something special is happening here..
Now I get to watch Arizona v VGK like it’s a rangers game
Some wingers that I think could be good targets at the deadline. No offense to Wheeler but I think he’s better suited as a bottom 6 forward
– Frank Vatrano
– Anthony Duclair
– Sean Monahan(he’s a center but he or Chytil could move to RW1)
– Mats Zuccarello(dream add; hope the Wild keep losing)
– Pavel Buchnevich(maybe Pitlick and a 2nd?)
– Nick Schmaltz
– Elias Lindholm
Anyone else?
Through 19 games it’s shocking how few times we’ve messed up on a pinch and given up an odd man rush the other way (compared to the last two years). it’s happened–you can’t go through a 19 game stretch without giving up a few–but it just seems like the D is so much more confident making that play because they know they have support from either F3 or D partner. is this what good practices and coaching looks like??
This is a game we lose 5-3 last year make no mistake about it. What a win
We don’t even need Fox. It’s nuts. Glad he’s coming back soon of course but we’ve been dominant without him.
What the Hork’s seen in 413
* Props to the conductor on NJ Transit who, even though he said it’s Rangers fans can’t hold our liquor like Devils fans, he did say that the Devils lose more than they win (which probably explains their drinking habits).
* And honestly, NJ Transit from mid-NJ to Penn Station is a very relaxing way to get Mom in for her annual game. She had a grand ol’ time!
* Especially to celebrate Henrik being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Always good when the King returns to his castle.
* My first time in the Blue Seats. These are definitely my people. Loud and having fun! But, this is the definition of “Limited viewing” with the bridge punching distance from your head.
* Booooninoboninobonino, welcome to the Rangers with your first!
* KREIDER getting keeping the train a rolling? Yes please!
* Then the rubber band. Boston time out, they come back. Then we take a time out and get squared away.
* Quickie had a rough two minutes or so but finished the first period strong.
* Simba Cam? Ok, that’s a new one. Many babies lifted up, and at least one parent grabbed their 12-ish year old daughter who was thoroughly embarrassed but still laughing.
* Swear to God, it played out just like this: Penalty on Gus. Well, I think it’s time for a Kreider shorty. KREIDER DELIVERS.
* Rangers Kids pics/Trivia, they almost tripped up lil Matteo showing him Trouba ‘s baby pic but giving Quickies info. Kid still won $800!
* Jimmy is Himmy, Sickest delayed double minor goal of all time.
* Also, very nice to have friendly refs for a change. Felt like a fairly called game.
* Karaoke Cam – Party in the USA. Not a lot of Miley fans. Got more reaction from the Freddy Mercury Ayy-ohhh gopher.
* K’Andre piss missile is a wonderful thing. He had a few clubs during the game but still is a solid defenseman.
* I have to admit, though, starting to get annoyed and lose patience with Kakko. I still think he’ll be a serviceable 3RW, but man it’s disappointing. But Laffy took how long to come into his own.
* Important safety tip: do NOT try to use the men’s room in the 300s section behind the Knicks jerseys. One urinal, one toilet, and a long line that will make you miss goals.
* Like Pitlick ‘s. Welcome to the Rangers Tyler Pitlick!
* Also, still in the bathroom, hilarious moment when the Boston person in the stall comes out saying “Fuck” when he heard the goal horn.
* And a Breadman goal to finish it off!
* Do hope that Pasta is ok. He looked like he took a hard bump into the goal on his failed breakaway and he was slow to get up and to the net.
Solid game, no serious complaints, although it was a high scoring thriller of a game, probably exasperated by the back to back.
Oh and look at that, we’re at the top of the league. As we chanted at the end of the game, “Boston Sucks!”
The drive for 78-3-1 continues!
We literally had every line score. AND get a powerplay goal. AND a short handed. Can’t ask for more
Big win today but idk if we’ll ever overcome being a poverty franchise
I’m visiting my parents for the weekend and I actually managed to convince them to watch a game with me, and this is the game we get, oooh baby even dear mom got excited.
It’s still only November, and we already have 31 points in 19 games. If we shit our pants for the remaining 63 games in the season and are only a .500 hockey team from here on out, we will end the season with 94 points. Last season the two wild card teams in the east made it with 93 and 92 points.
Nothing is ever guaranteed, but the rangers have put themselves in a very comfortable position to make the playoffs. And they’ve done it mostly without fox and chytil. You absolutely love to see it. And leading the league ain’t too shabby either 😏
Krieder might be the best player in the league within 3 feet of the net
Haven’t seen this repeated a lot: this week was our first big test of the year. 5 games in 8 days, 4 of which on the road, Devils, Stars, Pens, Flyers, Boston. Took 4 of 5 and would’ve swept the week if not for a sloppy third period in Dallas. Did this all without our best skater.
We’re the best team in the league.
wild to remember when playing teams like the Devils or Canes it always felt like we were hanging on in 5v5 and they had an extra player.
We were that team this game, against the best in the league.
Ironic that our PP scoring is down when that was what we relied on in the past.
Mind blown we’re doing this with our backup goalie, our star defenseman being out, and chytil being a possible wrap.
