What to do with the top 6?

For sure #72 has to come out. Maybe we should try Kuzy with #6/#9, and Hoggy with #40/#65, since the latter is a forechecking dead spot.

I’d almost be inclined to put Garland in the top 6 for his forechecking ability, but don’t want to mess with his line, which has really been the only consistent offense we’ve had 5-on-5.

No disrespect to PDG and Laff… they are both exceeding expectations, but just aren’t skilled enough to be in the top 6.

Yeah, it sucks cause this was a trap game – but at least I appreciate that this team is clearly losing as a team. The team are still sticking up for each other and you could clearly see how gutted Miller was when he missed that shot late in the 3rd.

LA has multiple 3 to 4 days off in November…..how does that make any sense.

Fucking Christ there’s some doomers and gloomers in here, but I mean I really shouldn’t expect anything less from our fanbase. Yeah it’s shit to lose against the worst team, but get over it. Our record is still legit. We are still a good team this season. Go smoke a joint and relax.

Boots on the ground…. We’ll see em in the playoffs…

Miller, Boeser, Hughes and Hronek doing everything they can to win. But the other stars need to show up. Petey, when’s the last time you scored 5v5?

    C’mon Petey. Can’t make 12M as a PP specialist.

loosing is bad but loosing to the sharks is pretty crazy not gonna lie

  8. Felt like Petey’s hit and the mini bench brawl woke the entire team up.

Not too worried about the loss though, especially with the type of pressure we applied in the last 5 minutes of the game. You can tell the team just hunkered down and tried to get everything on net, which is what we should’ve been doing all game. Just sucks that we couldn’t get the W, but you can’t win them all.

I was delusional to think we could carry the energy from seattle to san jose

Was at the game (long time Bay Area Canucks fan!) and was very pleased to see us come out on top during that fight. The schedule for them and other teams seems like a lot. Good energy from fellow fans while leaving too. I was also at the 10-1 game and obviously that was way more fun lol

  11. Sharks played well, our record is still good, we should be grateful that last year we wouldn’t have given this loss a second thought and this year we’re doing so well that a loss like this makes us panic.

I know we’ve got some serious ptsd but we aren’t the team from last year, have faith in tocchet holding the boys accountable and enjoy the ride boys

I feel bad for Lafferty, that disallowed goal killed the momentum for everyone

    The November curse strikes again.

I can’t wait to tear it up in December like before.

  14. As a fan of many bad Canucks teams spaning from 2015 onward, I know from personal experience that even bad teams finds ways to win some games against top teams throughout a long season. I have seen these bad Canucks teams beat some these teams when they were still good back in 2015-2019: Penguins, Capitals, Nashville, Chicago, Boston etc.

I think this loss will piss the team off, and that is a good thing.

Is it just me or is Garland a really good hockey player?

  17. Cale Makar speaks very well.

Can’t win em all, the sharks had this one circled a long way back they had way more energy. Really need to bounce back Tuesday before the run of games after. Strange we aren’t forcing any OTLs.

  18. Whole_Chemical_1103

Oof we need to fill some cracks. The team needs to iron out some shit it they definitely have so much potential.

I love Tocchet’s post-game, he’s so real and he’s not giving these guys an excuse

I expected this loss in terms of how the schedule was. Missed it cause I was playing a gig but I’m gonna guess it’s another version of learning to play tired or some form of that.

Glad to hear Tocchet’s post game comments. Should not be losing to the Sharks, even if it is a back to back. That said, this was definitely one of those frustrating games where the Sharks scored on basically every good look they got while the Canucks flubbed multiple Grade A chances. Sometimes it just goes that way. On to the next.
