  1. Midnight for the Cinderella Bruins. Holes in the defence. Average to mediocre four lines. Goaltending, the team's only real strength, hasn't been the same since the coach screwed up the rotation that was working. Oh yeah, and they sent the wrong rookie down.

  2. I'd love for sweens to trade for Hanifin and Mangiapane. Feel like those two are who we exactly need to top this team off.

  3. I'm sure the league will be looking into how/why Poitras was allowed to return. That was quite scary looking. The head snapped back and you could tell he was croggy going to the dressing room.

I don't get a chance to watch a lot of Bruins broadcast but (oh boy) that Jack Edwards guy is an acquired taste.

  4. Again, long comment from me, sorry I always say so much, but I always have a lot going on in my mind lol.

Before the game notes, just some things I've noticed. 1-2-1 last 4, 18 GA, 13 GF, and I'm guessing our goalie numbers and nerd stats haven't been amazing this last week or so. Not amazing, but teams have these kinds of slumps, it is going to happen and all that's important is to see progress in line chemistry, figuring out how to fill flaws, and where to put certain players.

Player notes. Starting with the forwards.

FIRST LINE: This line is not connecting. They aren't finishing chances, they have troubles keeping pressure in the O-zone and they often times can't get past the neutral zone. Definitely need to see something change on that line.
"SECOND" LINE: The Coyle line has never disappointed. Wasn't they're strongest game defense wise (who was?) but they did well. I have no problems with this line at all.
"THIRD" LINE: The Poitras line was alright, scary start with the McAvoy collision but he and that line came back and had great opportunities. Heinen is definitely better on that line over Geekie.
FOURTH LINE: I think this was their first truly bad game I have seen them play, even yesterday they weren't horrifically bad.

My solution is, or at least something they should try is this, and heck I'll even add in playtime.

    Debrusk, Zacha, Pasta 17-19min
    Marchand, Poitras, Heinen 14-17min
    JVR, Coyle, Frederic 14-17min
    Lauko, Beecher, Geekie 7-15min

It definitely is not perfect and a bit rushed, but it's definitely an alright solution to try a few games.

Defenseman notes. Idk what to say really with the defense. Idk why they are crumbling right now. Maybe the constant shake up of the lines is starting to have an effect, I truly don't know. Only thing I can say is Mitchell is not it for that 7th Dman, at least right now, but the problem is, who do you bring up to take over for Shatty when he needs a game or two off? The B's don't really have any solutions for that currently unless Zboril magically can play his off side and can be trusted in 3rd pairing minutes, if they can even make the money work.

Goalie notes. These last 4 games ain't their fault. Obv you want them stop some of those pucks going in, but when the people in front them are just passengers along for the ride at times you can only expect so much from our top 10 goalie tandem.

Too many things going wrong for the team, and they won't really have the time to figure it out until they get those days off around Christmas break, until then, they're mostly gonna have to figure it out during the games itself. No worry yet, but definitely not good signs for the short term future. Hoping they turn this around on Monday. Go B's? GO B'SSSSSSSSSS!!!!

  5. Teams have bad weeks sometimes its a long season jeez im pretty pessimistic but the doomers are really spiraling right now chill out a team leader just got arrested locker room is probably a little funky after that. Its all good the boys will make the playoffs

  6. We are looking slow and tired. Marchand and Pasta are getting to many minutes and half the time they looked bagged and making mental mistakes. How about bringing up a couple young guys so at least when they give the puck away they are learning.

  7. Hopefully, with the penalty kill falling off, they will be smart enough to stop taking stupid penalties

  8. Funny how the moment Montgomery breaks the rotation in net the goaltending takes a nose dive, lol. When will he learn to quit trying to fix what ain't broke?

Marchand needs to get together with DeBrusk again.

  9. God what a pain in the ass loss. Ullmark should have saved one or two of those goals but otherwise holy shit the guys need to tighten up defensively and MOVE MORE.

Anyway still near the top of the league so fuck it. As long as make it into the playoffs this year I'm happy. Anything more is icing on the cake.

  10. Debust – Zacha – pasta
    JVR – Pothead – geekie
    Marchand- Coyle – Fred
    Heiny – Beecher – Lauko

also have a spidey sense for a package deal including Ullmark and Griz before playoffs… idk who we get in return though.

  11. They're a good team, the problem for me. I don't see a real identity with the team. Are they defensive? finesse? or speed. They're not physical, they're out-hit almost every game. It's a long season with plenty of time to fine-tune. I'm not worried!

  12. We’ve seen games where the B’s don’t play a full 60 minutes, this was one where they didn’t play at all for 60 minutes.

  13. Honestly I'm ok with this. The boys need to do just poorly enough in the regular season so that our idiot fans don't start chanting "WE WANT THE CUP" in freakin Round 1 and jinxing it.

  14. I just don’t understand how this team is so well coached 90% of the time but we lose our brains when we need to clear the puck

  15. Guys. We lost two games in a row. It’s not a slump yet. Now 3….3 is concerning

  16. Two games in a row I could watch from Europe at a decent hour, and all I get is two losses? Find me in the Alps !

  17. So. Rat City Rangers. That is my new nickname for the NYR. Just as the Golden Knights are the Goldilocks.

Wasn’t terribly happy with how the Bruins played. REALLY WISHED THE RANGERS COACH DIDNT CALL THAT TIME OUT WHEN HE DID! Took the gas right out of our tank, I swear it.

I’m a strong believer in our lines looking like-

    Deebs-Coyle-Marchand
    Pastrnak-Zacha-JVR
    Frederic-Poitras-Geekie
    Lauko-Beecher-Heinen

    McAvoy-Grzelcyk
    Carlo-Lindholm
    Forbort-Shattenkirk

These players compliment each other and it’s great to see. Do some players deserve better than I’ve granted? Yes. However Montgomery has shown he loves mixing lines, and so long as it doesn’t become a detriment. I’m fine with it.

Are we bound to lose games? Yeah. This is a sport, a competitive sport. It’s bound to happen. Can’t have a perfect season…that would feel wrong. No challenge. Though with Rat City fans chanting ‘Boston Sucks’ or whatever, however I heard ‘both teams suck’…I got pissed off and hope the Bruins regroup and pound them next time we meet. I already know Eck is going to have a ‘beautiful’ video talking about “how far the Bruins have fallen”. Won’t subject myself to that. Not good for the mental health. Also. Trouba. F-that guy.

  18. Was watching a hockey show that featured Nick Kypreos and it had Billy Jaffe on for a guest to have his thoughts on the Bruins this was before this 2 game skid. Nick told Jaffe that he heard rumors of a Bergeron comeback. Billy said he really couldnt see that happening which I agree I think Bergeron is content on his retirement and spending time with his family. I was watching the Dallas game about a month ago and saw Krejci in the crowd in Dallas. ( the itch) If anyone comes out of retirement before the trade deadline it will be Krejci I think he loved playing with Pasta and Zacha and it wouldnt take much of a carrot to get him back on the ice.
