    we knew Klingberg would end up on LTIR but still find the situation weird because wouldn't the leafs know on July first this guy had hip issues. Taylor Hall had nothing but bad luck. As for Edmonton I can understand wanting Perry but why Peter he no better than skinner and Campbell. The big question is will Edmonton try to dump Campbell on Chicago

    Could there be a 3 way deal in place were Campbell and assets go to Chicago mrazic and perry go to the 2nd team in deal and let's say Edmonton picks up players from Columbus

    Re: Oilers: I was looking at where they are in the Pacific Division and in the Western Conference. Two HUGE issues here:
    1. Oilers are 10 points out of the 2nd Wildcard spot. If that isn't bad enough…they have to jump over 6 teams just to get to that spot!!!! I hear people saying "oh…they are only 10 points out" BUT it's only part of the problem….they would have to rely on the other 6 teams all to implode and that's NOT going to happen!!!! So…from a Wildcard perspective they are in deep trouble.
    2. What about from the Pacific Division perspective….as of today they are 14 points behind the 3rd place team (LA)… that's an even worse scenario than the Wildcard conundrum. They are NOT making up 14 points to pass the 3rd place team in the Pacific Division at the 1/4 season mark. That means they have ~60 games to make up those 14 points….too much of a hill to climb.
    Bottom Line: Oilers are toast. This season is a total bust. As you and I and others have said Mike: you can't win the Cup in Oct-Nov but you can damn sure lose it and that's just what the Oilers have done.
    BONUS comment…šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜:
    There are too many issues with this team to fix with 1-2 trades. Can you imagine the poor "G" coming to this team with their porous "D" thinking "holy crap….there goes my GAA!!!" You could put Roy, Brodeur, or Hasek in the pipes and they'd be hung out to dry so often their head would be spinning.
    The team is in a spiral circling the drain.

    Perry, Mrazik for Campbell and a pick or prospect I could understand. We know, as Blackhawk fans, this year is about getting #98's feet wet. For Hawk fans the future is bright with good young prospects in the pipeline and this team will look much different in the future.

    Oilers need to make a pitch for Gibson, imo Ask for Gibson and a which the Ducks have ample amount or. Gibson and Fowler for a 1st, Baurgault and Hyman. Ducks will have to eat some money but that's why the 1st is involved. Win win imo.

    The biggest question would be, would John Gibson agree to go play in Canada.

    Edm needs to throw everything at SJ to take Campbell and get Blackwood if at all possible. Or get Blackwood somehow and get Chi to take Campbell. Then in a perfect world, find a stable vet defenseman.

    Remember when DAL offered klingberg a substantial deal with term, and they turned it down because it wasn't phat enough šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚. Betting on yourself doesn't always work.

    Interesting possible deal between Hawks and Oilers. They need someone willing to take on Campbell's contract. Mrzak is an average goalie, but Skinner needs support of a bona fide tandem partner. Perry would be a good add to the Oiler lineup. What the Oilers have to give up in return is the big question mark. Oilers have to shake things up a bit. Maybe this is the move to make.

    As a hawks fan:
    Taylor Hall was never a good idea, he makes me angry
    I think mrazek had something else going on last night, there was something wrong, donā€™t want him to be traded
    If mrazek was traded our goaltending would plummet horribly, Soderblom isnā€™t looking to good
    Perry is ok but cannot skate for the life of him, as much as i like his personality, Iā€™d be fine with him being traded

    I think the NHL has major issues with poor management. How many years do you sit and watch as a league, as teams continually drop the ball. Each team is technically the NHL's asset. Why the league doesnt go up to Edmontons ownership, and tell them Holland sucks. You have two of thos eras most dynamic players and your management is wasting so much of their careers. Same with so many teams that are just continually fudging it up. Davidson was why Columbus signed Gaudreau. It didnt matter whether or not he fit the mold… Alot of teams are just painful to watch.

    As a Hawks fan Iā€™d say Mrazek is the type of goalie that excels when the expectations for team are low like in Chicago. In Edmonton the expectations are certainly higher so thatā€™s a situation Iā€™d be concerned about bringing Mrazek into. I donā€™t think heā€™d excel there.
