As in the past few years, the Leafs have a better record against teams in a playoff position than not. That suggests motivation is the problem.
Brodie made two nice plays on penalty kill and eight bad plays otherwise, put Marner on third-fourth line for a few games. Reilly saying trying to get familiar with each other, how many years do he and Brodie need
This is what average teams look like.
Matthews and Marner are getting for the playoffs. They are getting themselves prepared for how they play in the playoffs, meek, mild, rag dolled, flipping the puck into the stands when under pressure, forgetting how to score, disappearing, fly bys.
Both Matthews and Marner look subpar and are making errors that are costing goals against. Something needs to change. Move Marner off the top line before Matthew looses all his ability. And if I have to see Mitch look up to the sky on every missed play once more I’ll scream! Marner is a liability.
Brodie is a disaster and needs to be benched!

Love it keefer lol give them (media/tards) shit !!!! 1st and 2nd lines always fun to watch win or loose . Neat watching 3rd line slowly find each other and beginning to solidify their connections, almost like watching the neurons of three brains create synapses a little more each game, now lets hope they dont give keef reason to start his tickering perversion rather give them time to solidify . Watching Calle and Domi bring Robertson along has been fascinating he's like a little bull dog that wont take no, i'm waiting for the pessimistic media to say he's to small like they tried to do with magic Mitch so he can continue to prove them all wrong – what a frigging fire ball nick is, wow . 4th line was also showing the beginnings of same, to a lesser extent, with the addition of (blackhawks game ) a now revived/ reborn (?) Reaves (according to his recent testimonial) which is great as i'd much rather see him improve skills and speed then fight, his size, composure and experience is a commodity not to be overlook. Dee seems to be showing signs of rising to the next level with the composure their beginning to show: that is and not limited to, trusting in their preparation to afford the time to make an amicable breakout play and proactive defensive plays. If they continue to focus on preparation (not to be confused with gaining confidence as confidence is meaningless word you either did the work or not) looks like dee will be fine, eventually, without an expensive addition allowing leafs the cap room to finally pay Willy the wizard his due ! (and back pay lol) . And a note to leafs trainers : please read some contemporary science on physical homeostasis as it appears at times some have had their legs blown out half way threw the second period then i here in scrums horrifying things like whom ever did a work out effecting fast twitch muscle game day !! or even day before!!
