It's not Keefe fair whether fans! They have no defense!! Marner needs to be traded, he's too soft, especially at playoff time. Imagine the defense you could get if you traded Marner as well as a forward or two with the money saved from LIR Klingberg?? That could really turn this team's fortunes around!!

The goalies are great, once they have an NHL D core in front of them, their starts will scream!!

When is Toronto and its media going to stop making excuses for Auston Mathews and Mitch Marner? These are two horses that show time and time again they will run when it suits them.
Too many stupid bench minor penalties which falls on the coaching staff.

Here's some lines that would change things up, that any team would have problems with!!!
Forwards
#1… Knies, Matthews, Jarnkrok = play makers
#2… Robertson, Tavares, Gregor = Speed
#3… Nylander, Domi, Marner = play Makers
#4… Steeves, Kampfe, Bertuzzi = Offensive zone/ forced face offs
#13… Reaves/spare back bone/protection
Now you have three lines, that attack the net and one line forcing face offs in the offensive zone,
WITH THE CENTRES IN FRONT OF THE NET, THE OTHER TWO WILL GET THEM THE PUCK!!!
Defense
#1… Rielly… McCabe = offence/defense
#2…Timmins… Giordano = offence/defense
#3… Brodie… Benoit = offence/defense
#7… Lagesson/spear
Now you have three pairings, one offensive and one defensive player, with an offensive defenseman ALWAYS CHARGING, will make it hard for the other teams defense, to make line changes, because you are ALWAYS on the attack and the defensive player shooting the puck on net, will keep the other teams goalie in the net, while your team tips the puck or gets the rebound!!!

It’s time that we stop allowing these players to get away with this crap Auston Matthews, Willie Nelander has been phenomenal, Mitch Marner nowhere, and every time you call out a player like these calibre guys. They whine and cry. Their heart is not in with winning. It’s in with getting paid more money and I’m sick and tired of these guys complaining when their coach calls them out when he’s telling the truth to fire the coach because the players don’t like what he did well, you know what start freaking playing superstars, and the money that the people pay you to play it’s time to Toronto makes tough decision to get rid of Mitch Marner I know people don’t like what I say but you know what you’re not gonna pay this guy $14 million to choose how he plays we gotta stop this no more we need a cup. How much more excuses are we gonna make for these players? Why is it always the coach coach does what he does, but the players coach himself on the ice. I’m so done with fans saying that the coaches fault when it’s not what are we supposed to be like the Edmonton Oilers and play McDavid and Leo And train them out so we want Austin Matthews and Mitch martyr to take up most of the second and fourth line. Both Matthews and Marner are being generous to Knies. Or the Leafs would be scoring more. Through time the players will get to know each other better.
I say this could be the best line in the League next to Nylander and Tavares and Bertuzi.

I say give him a couple more months but every GM fires the coach first. The truth is don't bother getting another coach until we have a solid top 4 Defense core. We have 1 maybe 2 good Defensemen on this team. It wouldn't make a difference if we get another coach.
Nylander with Matthews. Marner with Tavares and the team would instantly start playing better
Say what you want about Keefe. Mitch Marner has not looked like he wants to be here. 11mil a year and a no move he better decide quickly. He's a spoiled brat who blames everyone else when things aren't going well
Firing the coach is always a cop out. How about 10 and 11 million dollar players stop playing like 3 million dollar players. Marner is just nowhere near as good as his dad thinks he is.
If Girard Gallant is available I'd go with him. Or Give John Gruden a shot.
He’ll be gone by the New Year, which was the plan even with them resigning him. As for the Pens win, thank Brodie and his multi turnover games. As for calling out Marner, he’s consistently their best point getter, and PK,PP leader. What would be smart is have a guy that could take Marner’s place sometimes on the PK which unfortunately they can’t because you’re Not putting Mathews or Nylander out there on the PK. That’s Not Marner’s fault, and never was. He’s consistently the highest minute top line player in minutes.
When I watch the leafs play I see a bunch of exceptionally talented hockey players skating around doing their own thing. There is no strategy, no coherence, no coordination. When they do score it’s always a single act of brilliance by the scorer, never the result of a set play or skilled tactical move. So yeah… I like Keefe, but he has to go. The Leafs need a coach that can bring all the elements together, make them into the team they should be.
