Well I guess we should play worse if we want to get more points then.

Canucks are holding their own with 3 reliable D-Men. Myers is still hit or miss, as evidenced by the last couple games.

Credit to Tocchet’s coaching for getting the most out of that group, but they’re gonna need help soon. Soucy can’t come back fast enough, and hopefully Bear. Doubt they’ll add more to the D this season, but they gotta swing a trade for a top 6 winger.

Its true though, past 3 games team has put the pressure on but ran into some decent goaltending

You should be happy with those numbers, means the Canucks are more for real than just lucky

And this is why analytics shouldn’t be the be all to end all.

Canucks have played like crap. And the main reason they won Friday was because of demko.

Analytics are really pissing me off this season, it honestly seems like score effects are fully responsible. We’re ahead sll the time to start the season —> we have bad analytics. We are behind all the time lately —> we have good analytics.

Seems to me that volume of shots is a completely insufficient way to explain hockey.

  6. It’s just starting to normalize as the sample grows. The reality though is that there are a lot of reasons for concern the past couple of weeks. There have been bright spots too. But this is not a top 25% team, it’s a next 25% team, closer to the middle of the pack (16th) than 8th.
