NJ Devils TRADE Tyce Thompson To The NY Islanders for Arnaud Durandeau!



The New Jersey make a Trade Sunday Morning with The New York Islanders and the names involved were unexpected. The NJ Devils TRADE winger Tyce Thompson To The New York Islanders for winger Arnaud Durandeau. Now the Devils are clearly in need of some stability on Defense and A goaltender so to make a trade for another winger was a bit shocking, but this seems like a good trade for both teams and players involved.
Durandeau played in juniors with Nico Hischier and Timo Meier so that could’ve been a factor for this and put up some decent numbers in the AHL with The Bridgeport Islanders.
Tyce Thompson never really got going in the Devils organization and fans were always hoping for him to develop into the Superstar his brother Tage Thompson turned out to be with the Buffalo Sabres. He was drafted in 2016 and didn’t establish himself as a superstar years down the line and with a different NHL team. Maybe Tyce follows that same path for the Islanders.

    Meh. It's nice that there's a connection with 13 & 28, and it just wasn't going to work out for Tyce here. It is what it is. I'm hoping for a more substantial move to address grit, d, or net (if it can be had). LGD.

    Unrelated but has anyone noticed Hamilton rarely gets media interviews. Why would this be the case? Is it something that he put in his contract?

    isles fan here. honestly, if Tyce develops into anything like Tage, its a win. Durandeau was great, but something just felt off. the isles still need scoring (big suprise) and Tyce could be him. plus we got another native, so thats cool lmao.
