Maple Leafs’ Timothy Liljegren leaves game with lower-body injury
Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Timothy Liljegren left Thursday’s game vs. the Boston Bruins with a lower-body injury. David Alter of The Hockey News reported that Liljegren was not on the bench to start the second period.

The incident occurred with less than a minute to go in the first period. Liljegren and Bruins’ forward Brad Marchand raced towards a loose puck in the Maple Leafs’ defensive zone, with Marchand getting tangled up with the defender, causing Liljegren’s left skate to crash into the boards and his head to bounce on the ice.
