    still pains me that they went with the flirting angle first and didn't build off of this. because at that point when this promo happened it felt like a course correction but came too late..NOT too late to salvage tho but then lacey got pregnant. i hope when she returns, we get back to this lacey, who went back to the drawing board to become champion. Rick aint there but that doesn't mean she can't take that baton and keep that fire going on her own. When Lacey brought up all her moments and opportunities but had nothing to show for it bc she always came up short…that hit hard as a fan. I felt that. can't wait to see her return <3

    It's too bad this story was halted before it could reach its full potential. I wasn't even watching at the time but I heard about it. Just now seeing this promo and knowing that the payoff could've been Ric helping Lacey to beat Charlotte for the title, would've been great.

    A while later during the post Royal Rumble 2021 edition of Raw Talk…
    Prince Sephiroth: (walks over to the table wearing his black armored coat and the Dragon Amulet around his neck with the SmackDown exclusive Universal Championship, a microphone and his sword, Masamune in his possession.) I deeply apologize for intruding, but I just wanted to know what all the commotion's about.
    R-Truth: Oh, that's fine.
    Charly Caruso: Please welcome for the first time ever on Raw Talk, the new SmackDown Universal Champion, the adopted son of the current SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions, the Lone Wolves, the One Winged Angel, Prince Sephiroth.
    Sephiroth: (as he takes a chair and plants his sword beside him.) I was just taking a stroll around the backstage area when I heard the commotion and wanted to know what all the fuss was about. I sincerely hope I'm not interrupting anything of importance.
    Charly: No, you're not interrupting anything, Sephiroth.
    Sephiroth: I mean, I completely understand if this ain't exactly the best opportunity to even be out here. If you guys need me to, I can always just come back later.
    Charly: No, you can remain out here if you want, Sephiroth. I actually wanted to inquire you further about your victory in the Triple Threat Last Man Standing match for the SmackDown Universal Championship against the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens last night at the Royal Rumble.
    Sephiroth: chuckle Alright, if you insist.
    Lacey Evans: (notices the SmackDown exclusive Universal Championship now in the possession of the adopted son of the current SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions, the Lone Wolves, the One Winged Angel, immediately piquing her interest and curiosity.) Oh. Can I ask you something, Sephiroth?
    Sephiroth: Sure, Mrs. Evans.
    Lacey: How many opportunities did it take for you to become (as she points at the SmackDown exclusive Universal Championship now in his possession.) SmackDown Universal Champion?
    Sephiroth: (holds up a finger.)
    Lacey: (gobsmacked.) Just one?!
    All: (look at the One Winged Angel.)
    Sephiroth: Yup. I'm genuinely surprised that Uncle Reigns wasn't as strong as everyone else made him out to be. Then again, my adoptive Mother was the one who found his achilles heel or the dent in his armor, if you will, at Survivor Series and I guess he wasn't bothered enough to take the preventative measures to fix it. Either that or since this was our first official match against each other, Uncle Reigns thought it'd be in his best interest to hold back so we could get used to fighting each other and also so he could avoid potentially gravely injuring me.
    Ric Flair: Oh, that's interesting.
    Lacey: So, this is about to be my seventh opportunity and I still can't become Women's Champion?! Shout out to you, Sephiroth, but damn. Way to make a sassy Southern Belle like me feel inadequate.
    Sephiroth: Well, sounds like somebody's a little jealous.
    Ric: Congratulations, man. Hey. If you ever want advice from a 16-time World Champion, you know where to find me.
    Sephiroth: Thank you, Mr. Flair. I appreciate that.
