New york rangers vs new jersey devils highlights was quite the treat, and the game itself was great for fans of both teams. I want to focus on the jacob trouba tomas nosek play because I definitely have some things to say. You probably guessed I’ll be glued to the tv for the other three Rangers vs devils games this season. The Devils are the "bad guys" for me (because I hated every cup they stole from other, better teams). But that's ok, it makes to things much more interesting to have a strong villain (Like Vegas!)

Oh you absolutely can, and should abandon the puck in that situation, especially when it's tied in the 1st… almost every single defenseman in the league is hitting you there, it just so happens that Trouba is a freight train!

Trouba's hits are almost always clean. I don't want anyone to get hurt, but Trou had to make that hit. Nosek was in a great position to score if he could get the puck on his stick.
Cover the blown whistle goal that still counted

Clean hit, Devil fans can cry some more about it. The hit on Lingren was clearly dirty.

Honestly, this was some excellent analysis. You are spot on. I was fortunate to be there, great game from both teams. The Troubadour on Nosek hit was brutal but well within the rules. Nothing more than unfortunate circumstances on him going down.
If a hit is clean, doesn't matter how big it is. Keep your head up, especially in the NHL
I've always been a Flyers fan. But i've obviously had to find some kind of entertainment during the Fletcher years to avoid the shit show. And the Rangers have really grown on me during that time. What a fun team to watch. The passing on Bread's PP goal on saturday was unbelievable.
you're never gonna do anything different if you're either guy. Unfortunate break for Nosek. Sometimes, pucks end up in your skates. Like the vid says, its a prime scoring chance, you're gonna look for it and try and get it out and try to score every time there, even if you know you'll take a hit. That's hockey. If you're the D, you see the puck in the skates, you have the guy in the tracks, you're gonna take advantage and give him a hard hit because you can. That's just the nature of this game.

Trouba gets lots of hate and ”dirty hit” shouts. He hits big and mostly clean. He can really turn the tide of a game and I like him

The hit was clean, but Nosek was just back from injury, which is why it's unfortunate. I'm not blaming either guy. That's hockey.

I grew up in the 90s when red wings had probert. I'm a wings fan. And the physicality that used to be in nhl is truly lacking. Fighting is rare now which I miss and there just not as physical as they used to be. If the ban big clean hits I will not watch nhl anymore. I love Good physical games. Miss it so much

I can't feel bad for Devils fans. They used to love it and cheered for it when Steven's would send players to the hospital. They begged for it to happen

As a Devils fan, I hate Trouba. As a hockey fan, I wish we had someone like him in the lineup. The hit was clean, Trouba is one of the few that makes clean hits look really bad. My GIANT issue is the lack of response on this NJD team and I have to wonder if someone in the org is trying to prevent players from answering the call.
The rivalry is alive and well…but the NJD need to tighten up their game.
The team to watch in the Metro division this year is 100% the Rangers, they just haven’t missed a beat this season, and doing it all without some key weapons on their team (Fox, Chytil, and not a 100% Shesterkin)
Nosek took the hit to make the skate pass, they got their shot, but Trouba made him pay the price. Excellent hockey plays.
I am not one to condoning illegal plays. But it is time for teams to start taking runs at Shesterkin so Trouba understands there are repercussions to his physical play. If you’re down to the rangers and Trouba is not adjusting his physical play. Take a shot at the goalie. And I mean a good one. Steam roll time.
The Rangers are doing this without Adam Fox and Filip Chytil… and their backup goalies have shown they can hold it together (that 3-4 game span that igor was out)…and then they beat Boston yesterday…As a Rangers fan, it's nice to finally have something to be excited about and not feel like I have to hold my breath.
