THIS IS THE SAVE OF THE YEAR

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen just had THE save of the year shutting down Jimmy Vesey of the New York Rangers with an incredible paddle save. We’ll talk that as we break down the New York Rangers vs Buffalo Sabres game on today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. This was a good win for the Sabres, but as a some what fan of the Rangers, the Rangers took an off day. The Sabres were playing the Rangers normally do and the Rangers were playing like the Sabres do at home. It was like opposite day.

  2. I hope you do a video on the Senators game tonight. That was the WORST game I've ever attended. I didn't boo (my own team) with the other fans because I just don't do that against my own team, but honestly, it was deserved. You could also do the video on that horrible onside call.

  3. Ridiculous save. It’s a long season. Every team will have nights like this. You can’t be sharp every game. I still expect big things from the Rangers this year.

  4. Will you do a video on the Minnesota Wild coaching change? Crazy that John Hynes keeps getting work.

  5. Watching that knee injury in slow motion gives me the shivers. That was exactly how my career abruptly ended.

  6. Given the fact that there haven’t been many… I’d say this is one of the saves of the year.

  7. The Rangers didn’t look good from the first puck drop. Multiple turnovers in the first 90 seconds. And Shesterkin looks very iffy. Jonathan Quick is showing him up big time.

  8. That was a great save but John Gibson of the ducks had a really good one a couple weeks ago

  9. Whatta you mean you don’t love the rule, hockey isn’t rugby. It’s played with sticks below the shoulder.

  10. Not goalied. Rangers struggled heavily today. Looks like they got drunk after saturday and vould barely move today

  11. Poor Kakko! That was a torn knee ligament at he least. Wont be suprised if hes out for the rest of the season with gnarly it twisted!

  12. That stick save looks alot like one Jonathon Bernier had when he was with the Avalanche back in 2017-2018. Absolutely robbed Ryan Kesler, and then Mackinnon scored on the rush the other way.

  13. Going into the season I had UPL having a bounce back year and being the no doubt starter and got clowned for it. Rn it’s looking okay

  14. I think Ukko and Gibson are so underrated in the NHL they’re both such solid tendies

  15. The refs in the rangers vs sabres games were atrocious. I lost my mind at the interference penalty call against the rangers. I think the refs knew they f'd up as they gave the rangers a powerplay afterwards for "cross-checking." Was at the game tonight in MSG and was definitely bummed by the result of the game as a rangers fan. I think the rangers were really only good during the 3rd period and the game could've been close but after the third sabres goal, the rangers gave up. Still had the time of my life during that Zibanejad goal.

    Good video Eck!

  16. oh no Kaapo Kakko is injured, pretty sure they'll do fine without him or most likely someone else take his place and do better.

  17. No offense but you sound biased as fuck, it absolutely should have been a single or day game at least suspension and absolutely should have been a in game penalty. Now I do agree with you on how people react and overreact A bit even if it's an accident it's ALWAYS up to the player to control their fucking stick if they don't that's on them

  18. I really don’t think these saves are great. I understand why people think so, but if you understand goaltending, you understand this is just lucky desperation

  19. almost identical save from Dylan Ernst the other night in the WHL, diving paddle save that kept the Blazers in the game

  20. I didn't see a hand pass on that Rangers goal that was waved off. It looked like the "pass" was off Cuylle's ELBOW or arm, not his hand. There's nothing in the rule book prohibiting that. Game might've been totally different if not for that call (and the ridiculous UPL save), but the Rangers took the night off and didn't deserve to win anyway. Very sloppy trap game after beating up Boston.

  21. an honest fan from the opposition team always gladdens my heart & i was neutral in this 1. nyr looked fatigued & the sabres were at it as a collective. love your vids man, respect.
