Didn’t get a look with the team on this call up (no real room on the wing for him to slot in, unless Robertson is coming out or he is on the 4th line over Reaves/McMann, but Steeves is a finisher/shooter so not the best spot for him IMO). To me this is a way to give an NHL paycheque for a few days to a guy who has been killing it in the AHL, brings him around the team and gives him a taste of the big league to continue working hard.
Steeves will get games the moment a winger goes down with injury, he’s 100% our next call up (unless its at C, then Holmburg is the guy most likely)
