I just read in a magazine that he swings 132 mph… I don’t believe that for a second. Like 122 is more believable.

You got Raymond Floyd on one end and Matthew Wolff on the other end. It doesn't matter what you do in the backswing.
Holds the club by the shaft, not crosshanded. All the rest of his swing is wrong. Still would beat my classical movement by 20 strokes per round. SOaB !
analysis is focusing on effects. useless. Watch his clubhead? That happens because of his lower body move.
I used to have that exact swing, could't make it work nearly as good as he does.
I’m just going to say it: Matthew Wolff has a beautiful golf swing. He cannot keep from attacking the ball from the inside because from the top of his backswing there’s no place to go but down and in. This swing is next level stuff and it’s the best “over the top” antidote I’ve ever seen.

If you're hitting 100's of balls a day, playing 5 times a week you can make any swing repeatable and work sustainably!
You won't make this swing work playing twice a month.
Text book is repeatable with less practice that's why it's taught to amateurs.
Be interesting to see how this swing ages with him.
This isn't a swing you should love, but maybe just admire from afar like damn how does he time that so perfectly.

Very interesting how his club head is way out there on the outside of his hands but the downswing is way in the inside. It’s a swing that a seasoned pro taught me years ago. Backswing/downswing on different planes. Not as whacky as this but to attack the ball from the inside plane. I very much doubt this guy will slice or fade the ball. Unless he wants to.

Nice to see different swings on tour like Wolff's. Granted all players on tour have the most beautiful swings, but it's these ones that make certain players unique. I lift my left foot on my takeaway as well, it helps big time with hip rotation and allows you to transfer your weight even stronger and through the ball at the impact. I am 155 lbs and average 305 yards off the tee with my driver.
