Carter Hart is better than Merzlincas and is from Edmonton. Philly is always ready to entertain trade offers.

Neither will be traded. Especially not McDavid. Some other proposal considerations that also won't happen but at least closer to fair value:
Draisaitl for Seider.
Draisaitl for one of Ullmark/Swayman and Carlo.
Draisaitl for Eriksson Ek, Faber, and Goligoski (even up the cap hits some).
Look the ONLY way the oilers can come out of this not being a bottom feeder for YEARS is to trade Leon free up some cap and take one year off competing then reload with mcdavid otherwise they are literally going to win absolutely nothing for the next two years lose Leon and then lose Mcdavid the following year
Oilers finish at the bottom and win the lottery, trade the first for Carter hart & Travis sanhiem. Basically cellibrini for hart & sanhiem. Flyers need a top line center

Draisitl, Campbell, Ceci & unprotected 2023 1st rounder for Monahan, Ghule, Kovacevic & either Allen half retained or Montembeault
Trade those two and there would be empty building in edmonton
Drasitl (consensus number 2 in the NHL just a dozen games ago) as a sweetener lol. The disrespect is really really real. Would ANH offer up ZEGRAS as a sweetener to move Gibson. Last season he sucked and asked for a trade. ZEGRAS couldn't carry Drasitls jock cup. An inmensly inferior player. . It would be insane to ask for him as a sweetener. For a Goalie no less. That adds yet another level to the most unrealistic trade rumor.
No goalie would look good in Edmonton. Trade Campbell for Ullmark, Cambpell could lead the league in wins and Ullmark's numbers would drop big time. A goalie is only as good as his team. Oilers need defence

Hey man love the content and enjoy razzing you at times because of your stars and bias at times….lol. So here is my idea if the Oilers hit the panic button and Ken Holland does all he can to save his job. Yes, I am a hawks fan and yes there is the whole Perry situation which we do not know all the details about and the hawks past issues. But if you look at what the Oilers want and what the Hawks can provide. This makes sense to me as trade partners for McDavid or whoever might be on the table.
What type of trade scenario do I see? Well, Chicago could just try to get Driesitle ( I know I am butchering his name) and Campbell for their own second because the Blackhawk’s have the cap space and they have the draft capital. This also would plug the hole left by Hall or Perry depending where he plays. Also Oilers would get some more cap space to then see if they can retool around McDavid to see if they can get a winner.
If the Hawks want to go all in with McDavid AND potentially Driesitle as well then obviously they would take Campbells contract and if this happened then they have a lot of young assets and cap and draft capital to reset the franchise and make it super entertaining in a very short time while McDavid would then be paired with Bedard and Driesitle and the Hawks would still be able to build with the amount of money they would still have. The only issue is when they have to re-sign Bedard that is when things could get hairy and also our top line and second line would be great but after that it could really be thin.

No one making more than 3 million is going on or off the Oilers until such time as they start February 12 points out of a playoff spot. A guaranteed way to get fired would be pay through the nose to get rid of Jack Campbell then still miss the playoffs.

McDavid might never win a cup in Edmonton, but come on, this Oilers team is going absolutely nowhere without him. McDavid has been carrying this team for years. Trading Draisaitl for an Elite goaltender and a decent d-man could work, but it's not happening.

Spence, Clarke, Byfield and 2 first for McDavid?
Barzal, Sorokin, Dobson and a 2025 1st for McDavid seems more like it would cost and I think that the Islanders cant afford to give that and thats the Minimum Edmonton would ask for.
