The NHL Needs To WATCH OUT: Edmonton Oilers Are HOT

It seems to have taken forever, but the Edmonton Oilers are doing everything they can to rise up the NHL standings. A three game heater, and winning games in every fashion, the Oilers are keen on making up for lost time.

  1. We just need skinner to return to form đŸ˜« once he gets constant, even if it’s like 910% we will get back to being elite. End of the day, we beat the as of right now #1 seeded team in the nhl. A win is a win.

  2. I feel bad for Stewie. Bad defensive reads. This defense still concerns me against good teams, to be honest. Stewie had only one goal he should've saved. The one thing I've liked about the defense is they've given up only 1 or 2 odd many rushes last three games.

  3. you sure change your tune quick a few wins and now they are champions you should be ashamed. You stand by your team through good and bad.

  4. Not sure they’re “hot” yet. At least lukewarm. For a moment I thought they were going to blow it and lose in regulation. Exciting game for sure.

  5. McDavid is on the rise. I don't mean to hate, but let's not overexaggerate. (Hey, that rhymed)

It's not a coincidence thay the Oilers have won 3 straight when McDavid is going beast mode. Let's not forget the defensive and goaltending atrocities that this team faces.

  6. This comment section has been consistently brutal this season. Trade nurse! Bouchard sucks! We need a goalie! What ever happened to go team go lol

  7. This is why ppl can’t stand oiler fans y’all think you’re gods after getting a few wins on a team that was on a back to back lol

  8. lol oilers are so hot theyre burning the bottom of the barrel. the oilers are not a team… they are mcdavid n draisaitl and a bunch of rejects. this team wont win as long as those 2 are together. theyre the all star version of thornton n marleau on the sharks

  9. Yeah once again oilers problems getting masked by mcdavids unreal offense. Just wait when mcdavid has a quiet night we will be right back to normal

  10. Devils fan here.

The NHL fans poked at us
. Kicked us when we were down
.
But Devils and Oilers are heating up now and it won’t stop here.
We will have the last laugh when our teams play each other in the Stanley Cup finals after everyone counted us out.

  11. We need a goalie. Skinner is a backup. There's a simple fix. Grab a Montreal goalie while they're available. Don't wait until the Oilers cool off. Get'em while they're hot !

  12. Trade for a goalie know yall almost lost this game to some easy goals oilers are hot and back in the race imo get to 500 and the season will play out not even a Oilers fan but there getting on a heater

  13. Im happy we won. I thought we would. But im not jumping up and down. Vegas is 3-5 and are coming off a back to back and overtime game. Also they have a few key defenseman out and it wasnt Adin in the new. So im happy but im not acting like this was some comparison night.

For once it seems like we got a team to play whos struggling but not overly hungry..it seemed like lately we play teams on fire or teams ve re y hungry who havent won lately.

So again, im happy but not thrilled. If im thrilled about anything its McDavid is back. And we did a really good job putting pucks in their zone and playing more in their end. And no crazy mistakes

First Goal DEPTH SCORING with a Gagner goal and a Hamblin assist, honestly to me it looked like an Erne deflection but who cares, it's a depth goal and that's great. Only goal of the 1st period so it was a very defensive period. It opened up in the 2nd. Stone got one early, Janmark answered (DEPTH SCORING!!!! good to see him rewarded with his first goal coming back from injury) it was a McDavid blast that bounced off of Thompson then off of Janmark then trickled over the line, Amadio answered that less than a minute later and a few minutes after than Connor got one off of a breakaway (You can't leave Connor ALONE, it's like ASKING to get scored on). Kane in for Hyman on the 1PP and he gets it done. Hyman was a scratch (not feeling well). Look, it wasn't pretty. The Oilers took TOO MANY PENALTIES (how many times have we heard that before). The PK was at 100% again. That's good. The PP 1 for 3 (not fabulous but could be worse). With Hyman out of the lineup it could have been bad. It wasn't because the boys won BUT Skinner's Goals Against went UP again (4 against). He needs to let in less by a lot than the boys score (like the 2 prior games). Yes, it's harder with elite teams like Vegas but still. Take care all.

  15. Now imagine if Skinner was the goalie for the VGK. How would he stand up defending against Connor & Leon & company?? Oilers have the most explosive offense in hockey & the Vegas backup goalie gives up 4. Vegas is one of the worst offensive teams in hockey & they put up 4 on our starter. You really want Edm to make a playoff appearance with Skinner as starter?? Oilers better drop their local fanboy love & demand he be traded or a massive comeback to make the playoffs will turn into total embarrassment if they make it.

  16. Managed to catch the game live, so that was very exciting. While Edmonton played a very dominant game, they definitely struggled to play a full 60 minutes once again. They played a solid 50, but then took their foot off the pedal in the last 10 and were punished for it.

While I do agree that Stuart Skinner should’ve saved that third goal from Vegas (Story of his life), what was he supposed to do for that fourth one? That wasn’t even a screen by that point, it was a whole wall. He had a Vegas player and an Edmonton player standing right in front of him and Kolesar was left all alone. It was overall just some messy defense from Edmonton and Skinner and the Edmonton Oilers ended up paying the price.

  17. Trade McLeod and Broberg for a goalie. Gotta give Stu credit for staying sold in the shootout though.

  18. UGH! Oilers need a goalie….badly. I'm kind of disappointed in Skinners game specially late in the 3rd period..he should of had those saves.
