I'm a Caps fan from Toronto, and I'm sure Leaf fans already know this, but I'll say it anyway to be complimentary: Tavares is the greatest free agent the Leafs have ever reeled in and I'm really happy for Leaf fans. It would be incredibly symbolically powerful if the Leafs were to name him Captain too, because the story of a Toronto boy coming home and leading his Leafs to a Stanley Cup would be a really special one in our local news.
