So this basically means that Smith is going back to defense and Laberge will replace him on the 4th line.
Unbelievable that Nemec isn’t getting a chance. Hamilton isn’t exactly Scott Stevens out there defensively. Replacing him with Nemec would be a wash defensively.

I’m pretty sure most in this sub will agree with me but I’d rather keep Smith at F and call up Nemec. Even if it’s going to be a nasty game against the flyers, smith can provide that grit as a F.

We have a #2 overall right-hand defenseman who deserves to get called up.
Just don’t understand why Nemec isn’t getting his shot. Keep Smith at FW, and get Nemec some NHL game time. Bad decision.

They must really like this guy. First, he gets his first NHL contract signed on Saturday. Never drafted, and has a shot at making his NHL debut all in a one week span.

Dont know much about him but if hes a forward why wouldn’t you have just kept Willman up? At least he’s been practicing with the team and played a handful of games so there’s a bit of chemistry
