According to Kurt Leavins of the Edmonton Journal, rumour has it that the Edmonton Oilers wouldn’t be opposed in making a trade with the New York Rangers to acquire forward Lias Andersson. Speculation has arisen that the apparent ask from the Oilers would include Andersson and a first, in exchange for a mid-tier prospect and Jesse Puljujarvi. Who would’ve thought, two of the most talked-about tradable prospects can potentially be traded for each other. NHL trade rumours are wild in 2020, man.

Not worth it. Jesse Puljujarvi isn't even worth 1st alone.
The Oilers value Lavoie wayyy tooooo much. If we had to go with a B level prospect, it would be one of:
-Kiril Maksimov
-Cooper Marody
-Ryan McLeod
-Anton Slepyshev (Another player in the same situation)
the rangers have no need for puljujärvi. I would rather keep lias

It'd be a damn shame if we overpaid that much for a player with huge bust potential, and I still believe Lias Andersson right now is capable of centering a 3rd line, maybe a 2nd line. Call me crazy, but when he actually played with competent players in pre-season and the SHL, he looked really damn good out there.

trade a 4th round pick to oilers for Jesse Puljujarvi to Vancouver to help out Olli Joulivi. in the AHL system to boost the chemistry between them. They both can be future payers for the Canucks.

Lias and 2nd for Puj more fair
I would like to see Jesse Puljujarvi in a Rangers uniform, but we really don't need another RW (Buchnevich, Kakko, Gauthier, Fast?) and (so) the idea of throwing a 1st round pick into the trade is a non-starter for me. This draft is way too deep to be throwing around 1st rounders for a prospect that may never reach his projected potential. Now Andersson and a 2nd or 3rd for Puljujarvi makes me think, or Andersson and one of defensive prospects (not named Miller, Lundkvist or Jones).
They have the same value, one is a year older and a little better but the other is younger and a little worst. No need to dump a 1st for a prospect rangers don’t need
Lias looked amazing the biggining of the preseason when i saw him live. He gave so much effort. He looks like a future 2nd center. I just wish david quin got along with him seems like he gets traped in the 4th line. To bad he got an injury this season he probubly would of proved he belongs. He never got a real look. He got frustrated and inpatient and left to sweden. Also wasnt sleeping maybe he just was lonely too. He needs a different team and a girl friend lol

For the B level prospect I’d think it’d be lagesson. Rangers are weak on LD. Oilers aren’t trading Lavoie. They are weak on forward prospects. He also had a good year in the Q

NYR are deepest RW and G. Puljujarvi will have difficulty with fewer opportunities behind Fast/Buch/Gauthier/Kakko/Kratsov. The B level prospect for NY would likely be C or RHD and if the Oilers want a 1st, expect the player to be Bear.
The NYR have two 1st round picks for the 2020 draft. 1) The Rangers own pick & 2) The Hurricanes pick they acquired during they Brady Skjei trade. So if the Rangers did trade a 1st pick I see it being the Hurricanes pick. Also, the rangers have a plethora of defensive prospects. They would seek out a forward.

This is OLD news, The Rangers were trying to make this trade at the deadline and the added 1st rounder is a no go for the NYR, I had a good chuckle watching your Montreal video regarding Puljujarvi and the unrealistic propositions you were talking about. The Rangers have 2 first round picks in the upcoming draft, Edmonton would get a pick in the 20's, Not the NYRs LOTTERY pick. Tighten up homie!!

I don’t think Rangers would ever give up a first. They won’t do it this year considering it’s such a deep draft year and they’ve already given up Skjei and they shouldn’t give up a 2021 pick considering that could easily be a lottery pick next year. Maybe they can make a deal without the first but apparently Edmonton doesn’t like that so :/
there is no way new york or any other team for that matter would make this trade. Jesse P isnt worth a 1st right now, why in the hell would we also throw in Lias Andersson when i wouldnt even give up a 1st by its self. If Lias played a full season in the SHL then he would have better stats then Jesse P put up in Liga so i dont think Jesse P's value should go up based on his Liga Stats. Both players failed to make an impact on there original NHL teams, both where high draft picks that can light up the leagues in there country's. IMO there value should be similar and both players would prolly benifit in a 1 for 1 swap
