Thanks, Josh for all your great responses and always saying hi. I was watching Caufield a lot today.
Then he gets his 60th goal of his career. The fourth fastest Hab ever. Just so amazing. He made a few ill-advised passes tonight, but still a great game. One thing I noticed though watching him is that he's always been ready to battle against the boards, but he seems to be winning a lot of those battles now. I even noticed him knocking players on their butts with some force. I get more and more impressed with him. So, he's got the scoring down and now the strength training seems to be working great. Now I'm just waiting for Anderson. Hahaha! 😂👊🏻

The biggest mistake the habs can make right now is trading Monty.
Montreal are in trouble they don’t have a real first line that could play again any first line in the league!I don’t see a good future I’d we don’t draft a real first draft player

Monty has been 1A solid on this team for a while now, Does management want to trade him, it will be a while before the youngsters are ready . He earned my respect last year, giving what he could night after night.
The only way I would trade Monty to EDM would be in a massive move from MTL deciding to tank this year and take the Campbell contract off them:

The crazy thing about Caufield is he had 1 goal in 30 games under Ducharme and is still on the list 😂. If he played that whole season with MSL not only is he winning the Calder he becomes i believe the 2nd or 3rd fasted Hab. I also think his 5 on 5 is just fine. I think MSL should put him with Newhook and Suzuki. Also speaking if Newhook, he has 7 goals and is on pace for 25 goals 50 points. That number only keeps on going up. Some shifts tonight i felt they didnt give full effort but hey, we played better so we deserve it.
There's no way you'll get a first and Bourgault for a UFA at the end of the year (e.g., Montembeault). No.

Keep Monty, he is relatively young, playing really well and he's a Quebec kid who you know wants to be there. If Edmonton lost their minds and offered an unbelievable deal, maybe but I say keep the kid for now!
I feel like Montambeault should get moved to the Oilers. If we get him a decently cheap 2-4 years like 3.5M aav they will pay SO much to get him. Lets make Allen our starter for now. We can always trade for another goalie or sign one. How much can we get for Montambeault? Maybe a 2025 conditional 1st and Bourgeault? If we take Campbell's contract they x5 that and thats not a joke…

I believe we should keep Monty. He is proving himself more and more. I don't think we have seen the best of him yet. He is worth 3,5 million a year on a three year contract. ( Go Habs GO )
I dont hear anyone in the league or even Habs fans talking about Matheson maintaining his scoring. He now has 17 points in 22 games and man he can easily be a 60 point two way defenseman which is valueable. Edmonton? Wow what a trade we can do. Send away Matheson AND Monty and taking Campbells contract? We can get 3 1sts nugent hopkins and Holloway and Bourgeault. One top 6 prospect maybe elite in Holloway. A solid middle 6 in Bourgeault. 3 1sts which speaks for it self and Nugent Hopkins to make Suzuki and Caufield get mentoring and get help. I honestly think this could be more. Maybe even adding Bouchard? A similar player to Matheson but younger and less defensive. This would be crazy.
I think a Montembeault/Primeau tandem would be pretty good. Monty is looking more and more like he could be our starting goaltender.
Lets see Montembault play multiple consecutive games vs top teams not bottom feeders; Columbus, San Jose and Anaheim
buy Low, sell High. Trade Monty and get better chance to draft Celebrini or Eiserman. Monty cost us Bedard last year
Oilers are also scouting CBJ probalbly one of their right shot defenseman like Andrew Peeke or Adam Boquist.
