I think throwing your head back is the natural reaction to having someone cross check you right in the face. The league REVIEWED it with all the angles and made the call. So.. if you think it was a dive it’s because you’re a biased fan.
Did he crosschecked him in the face? Yes, he did. He made contact with his chin. That's all you need, regardless of it being barely touching or hitting hard. He just made it obvious to the refs so they could notice it and call it. I don't think anybody likes a stick to his face. I would have done same thing because your teeth are next on the list if he gets away with it. I don't like chewing on someone else's stick. Neymar would do the snowball routine where there was never any contact by the opposing player.

The Canucks soooo desperately need a guy that will stand up not only for his friends that can’t do it themselves but for his team and the jersey they wear. Maybe the team of 1982 could take their place for one game and show them how, if you did something to one of their players you had to take on all the tough guys for the rest of the game just the other game petey got ragdolled and their was no response and that is pathetic would absolutely love to see my team win a stanley cup but they never will if they go into the playoffs playing the same way the 2011 team did. Management needs to make a move or it will be all for not! Maybe craig coxe or ron delorme could be coaxed to come out of retirement, even if it’s just to dummy the shot out of marchant
