  1. I'm with Makar, both players are really good and very talented. Enjoy both of them and the records they are setting. This level of play from defenseman doesn't come around often so don't get caught up in an argument over who is "better". I'd love to see both end up 1 and 2 in scoring by D

  2. As an Avs fan-both guys are great…Hughes has improved his all around game. But Makar still has a Cup,Conn Smythe,1 Norris,& 3 Norris Finalists…not to mention ROY over Hughes. So Makar is some level of "made man"-that Hughes has yet to achieve.Granted Cale has played on a much better team til this year,& that certainly doesn't mean Hughes couldn't possibly deserve to beat him out for the Norris this year.

I just hope they both stay healthy-itll be fun to watch. I do think despite Hughes obvious improvement-Cale is still a bit better defensively though granted I haven't analyzed both guys deffensive analytics this year. But he definitely was better defensively in the past,& we still have 60ish regular season games left this year.

  3. East vs West All Star Game is a bit unfair. Hughes, Makar, McD, Draisaitl and.. JT Miller? Petterson? On the ice at the same time?

  4. so if the all star game is a draft format.. there exists the possibility to have quinn hughes and cale makar on the same team…and on the same pairing .sick

  5. Doug Wilson was the last player to not wear a helmet and was Sharks first captain. I rmember when only goalies and guys who have been hurt wore them.

  6. Quinn Hughes is not up there with Makar, makar is at a very different level then Hughes i dnt think Hughes can keep up. 1v1 no chance Hughes

  7. Avs fans can be real dooshy about the whole thing in denial Hughes is in the Norris conversation. Canucks fans can be in denial that Makar is just a little better over-all with his physical play. Im kinda sick of talking about until its awards time.

  8. Makar is a class act.
As a Canucks fan, it's just great to watch both of these young studs; and they aren't even at their peak yet

  9. lanche's cup winning year cale was the playoff mvp and he was very gracious and quick to acknowledge the rest of his team. i liked him.

  10. Personally, I can't wait to see the elite players back in the Olympics so that I can see all three Hughes brothers play a professional game with each other. Luke was too young to play together with the older two brothers in leagues growing up. I have a ticket to watch the Devils play the Canucks on Tuesday, and that will likely be the very first time they're all on the ice for the same professional hockey game, so I can't wait!

  11. Makar is a stud, but the stat canucks fans were falunting was the one about Dmen who lead the league in scoring at 30 points in. That list is much shorter than the 30 points in 20 games.
