As he was lining up for the face off, the Capitals’ Marcus Johansson realized he had a broken stick. But when he tried to tell the refs, and then demonstrated it, they swatted back with a delay of game penalty that infuriated coach Barry Trotz.

Wow….Bad call!!!
Great call, 2 minutes left in the game and up by 1 goal and all of a sudden you have a broken stick? I call bull shit
Bullshit officiating but the caps won so all good
And this is Trotz. Imagine if it was Torts.
Johansen made it too obvious. Sean Avery just acted like he was lining up for the faceoff and it snapped. No Penalty
lol look at the start of the video the caps guy whisper to johansson ''yoo brake your stick, cause we have to loose that game beacause of corruuption'' then johansson like '' ok no problem''
LOL, good call. Guys are skating around whispering (doesn't matter if they're talking positioning), and then his stick suddenly breaks. Pathetic.
And people say Jack Edwards is biased
Okay, don't set me on fire for not knowing. I do know hockey; this certain situation confused me. Just to be clear, the refs thought he broke his stick to delay the game and gave him a penalty? Is that what happened?
I'd be mad too
Terrible Call.
Nr #13# O`Halloran, Dan Is the worst ref in the entire NHL…..
bull crap
So easy to read Trotz lips…..that's F'ing BS! You GO Coach. Washington was so stupid to let him walk after he led them to their first and only Stanley Cup.
''NHL Reffs'' XD
