Coaching problem. Every Team knows the Islanders collapse in the 3rd.
This is as pissed off as I've EVER seen Gil and I agree with everything he said 100%! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! We haven't beaten a playoff team YET this season and we aren't going to until we get a different coach, different GM, and start putting better pieces in place (ie: retool). Like it or not, this is what you get if this is what you put on the ice.

YOU GET 'EM GIL I like the angry gil. Remember the movie quote 'i'm mad as he-ll and i'm not gonna take it anymore'. haha. Bad coaching can take most of the blame but can't excuse this sorry roster presented coach lame-o by louzer. So can't do shit about it. Isles are on pace to blow the lead in third a whopping 30-36 times this season. So what can be done about that? Bring in a more d minded coach? This team can't play shut down hockey anymore. ga now in middle of league. Bring in an offensive coach to try and score more goals? Not gonna happen with gf ranked 31st. Even with improved pp 5×5 is a joke along with pk. Isles would lose playing a wide open game everytime..So the short of it is lsles are fkd. They have an old slow roster of similar type of interchangeable players where third liners are first liners and fourth liners play as second liners. It starts at the very top-as long as ownership is happy with louzer who continues to keep a coach that is in over his head and can't motivate/get isles to play sound hockey and not take dumb penalties and have third period break-downs this shit will continue. A few blown leads a season could be excused as a fluke. This many-9-21 games into the season is a trend. Until ownership mandates louzer to make changes or he is gone nothing will change. Starting with coach lame-0. Then start dumping the dead weight at any cost by tdl or else like lee 2 g jpg 1g, wahlstrom 2 g and give ahl'ers a shot. Could even move varly for the right price with one year left after season. What good is a solid two goalie tandem if isles can't make playoffs with it? And do not trade that first. I hope louzer gets fired. The great lou 'legacy' goes down in flames. Never to be seen again. Two tier problem-Both louzer/lame-0 need to go. Good show angry gil. You the man…
I say fire lambert look at possibly gallant, maybe Quenneville can get reinstated also trade dead line be sellers for draft picks and young players. It’s time to rebuild. Teams going into playoffs would maybe love to have someone like Lee, maybe Palmari, etc. I
No better time to start rebuild. I’d love to see Lou finally step down but he’s probably too cocky to do so.
