I know a spot on the second line right wing where he can go

I do wonder what a line of Texier – Fantilli – KJ would look like

KJ is my favorite player and I’m excited to watch him, but he was getting to play center in Cleveland and it’s clear he was more comfortable and having fun. Enjoying playing and winning can do a lot for a young, skilled player.

Whether or not people want to accept it, there’s a culture problem with the big club. It’s the same reiteration of “we have to find ways to win”, “the energy wasn’t there”, “we were not connected”, “we just made too many mistakes”. When you have to say the same things over and over, that seeps in and that’s a losing culture. Upon all of that, the coaching staff refuses to change or adjust and we pack it in and let teams control the entire game. Every third period, the team just wilts and sits in front of the net with no intensity. There’s a huge coaching issue with this system and it’s teaching players to sit back and hope to win instead of controlling games and pressuring. Guess what? If you breakout and sustain pressure in the o-zone, their best forwards have to defend and can’t score. Vincent is mediocre and all his fancy speech can’t hide it.

I wonder how much business Ruoff Mortgage is going to get off of an IR/call up tweet. Obviously the overall marketing partnership is beneficial to them but is there someone out there who’s like, “Oh yeah. I need to re-fi!”

  5. Not that I’m not excited to see KJ back with the big club, but this pretty much convinced me that the FO and coaching staff have no idea what they are doing. They send KJ down, say it’s a planned move to get him to out on muscle and be more effective against NHL opponents… then a few weeks later bring him back up. He’s done great down there and maybe has some more confidence, but there’s no way he’s actually been able to gain signifcant muscle mass in the time.

Jarmo and Pascal are flailing trying to find a way to get this team to win. Guessing Laine is scratched again on Friday and KJ slots in

    So hear me out.

We’re playing 12 games in 3 weeks which is a *lot* of hockey. We’ve played more than any other team in the league.

What if we sat our prized draft pick for a game as some load management. Give Fantilli the night off, get him away from Patty for a match, and let KJ play center like he has in Cleveland.

It’s a gentle, easy way to shake up the lines without wrecking anybody’s confidence, turning anybody off, making them feel like we don’t have faith in them, etc. Just let the new kid take it easy for a night and watch a game of hockey while letting somebody else slot in and try to jump start a slumping line.
