  1. I bet dollars to doughnuts Larkin is taking these couple days off to practice/train with Kane. What better way to spend a couple days off than scouting and establishing a repore with him?

  2. Im Chicago and worked the Blackhawks media day a few years ago, not in a media roll. I was sitting in the corner minding my own business and when Kane walked by he asked how I was doing. Only played on the team to do anything like that.

  3. I dont agree it will get out about Perry, do we really know what happened with Vrana in Washington, Detroit and now St Louis?

  4. Marchand had double hip resurfacing surgery and is tearing it up (and not his hips the ice)

  5. Wings depth now is absolutely crazy , Wings r 1 of 6 teams that I can think of that can continually rotate 4 lines , excited is an understatement for me , GO WINGS

  6. I also genuinely think this would boost the locker room so much. You have a legend joining your team, and I can only imagine that is making every single guy in that locker room wanna get to the playoffs. & who knows, if we get close to the deadline and want to double down we can trade a 3rd/4th for another solid piece that comes available.

  7. In terms of the big question mark as to Kane's ability to keep up I'm kinda surprised as there being no insider info as to being able to see him move and what he's been able to rehab up to since the surgery. Maybe there is hence the signing but there had to be some sort of performance scouting for reassuring purposes right?

  8. Honestly I think we should trade Rasmussen. Not consistent, doesn’t finish, his shots are mostly weak, I wish he would finish checks more and be physical. He should be on a 4th line every night.

  9. 2.7 million for a coach, legend, 1,200+ points in what? 1,100 or so games, and a guy who can quarterback a pp line like Gandalf?
Hell yeah…Detroit just got that much better when they already looked good

  10. It doesn't make any sense for a team in a rebuild to sign a 35 year old with a hip problem. Maybe for a team like FL that are possibly looking at a cup in the near future. But for us??? Seems like a waste of time. I DON'T LIKE IT!

  11. Had to laugh. My wife who is a more casual fan said “That’s the guy that beat up a cab driver, right??” when I told her the Wings signed Kane. I told her she was correct. Illustrates the image issues that I still have (and not counting the more recent stuff).

  12. The Rangers unloaded Kane and look where they are now! Wings hot start has Y-man dizzy into thinking they can win it all this year. Kane could put a dagger right into the good karma!

  13. Bud, I don't care that other teams were suitors. I care what the Detroit Red Wings do. I'm not ok with this. It's not the straw to break the camels back, but Reimer and Kane? I'm not happy.

  14. A bunch of haters are out there saying “signed with Detroit just to be a first round exit” and I'm over here thinking “so you're saying we're a playoff team?” ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  15. Kane said he kept asking his agent if Detroit contacted him and if they were interested so I believe Detroit was his top destination and if not definitely his 2nd

  16. Kane had the opportunity to play for Florida and Bruins and Chose the wings after Stevie Y flew to T.O to meet him and a big part other than Debrincat was Uncle Fester's coaching and he looks forward to playing with Raymond. Just stuff I picked up from interviews today
