The Calgary Flames have traded defenceman Nikita Zadorov to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2024 fifth-round pick and a 2026 third-rounder. The fifth-round pick was originally acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks in a separate deal earlier this week. TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins SC with Jay Onrait to break the deal down.

Finally making some good trades
“He’s exactly what makes teams better, he’s big, he’s got length, he’s hard, he’s competitive, he’s edgy”
Brad Treliving major L. Why didn’t Leafs get this guy to upgrade their blue line
As a flames fan he’s a give away machine have fun with that lol
The Calgary Flames would be crazy to trade Tanev – a first rd. pick would not be as good as Tanev! The Flames did ok I think with the trade for Nikita Zadorov. Clear cap room and get a few picks back. I would have like a few young players back instead of the picks.
ie – F- Nicholas Robertson- D- Conor Timmins from the Leafs.
If he fucks around and doesn't play well tocchet will scratch him
He actually thought he was the best defenseman on Calgary. He's gonna be angry in Vancouver when they stick him on the 3rd line and he doesn't get the most minutes
Tocchet loves this guy 👦 ohhh yahhh 😅
