typical NHL penalize the result of the play and not the actual play itself…reviewed this and still called it ..unreal
and this is where refs need to be fined for being this dumb or it will never get better hold them 100% accountable for there stupidity this was not even a penalty and after review they still give a major? fined or fired fix the bad refs
The woke NHL wants to pussify the league so at some point they can try and get chicks in the league.
I've watched very few well officiated games in the NHL this year. Refs have been the most pathetic I've seen in a very long time.

None of it should've happened in the first place. The whistle should've been blown when the defensemen were skating by the faceoff dot. Luke clearly stopped skating hard because he knew it should be an icing.

I honestly don't even know why they have video review anymore. They get more calls wrong now than they get right it seems like.

How they reviewed this and didnāt just make it a minor or no penalty I wonāt understand (Rangers fan who hated Hathaway on the caps) you play to the whistle horrible by the refs. Refs have been handing the devils more calls (Lindgren headshot a few weeks back) Feel like theyāre getting the Crosby Pittsburgh treatment with Hughes and the young talent to market the team.

That is just embarrassing. No accountability from the refs, instead they blame Hathaway for playing until the whistle. An absolute joke NHL. Changed the whole game.

I agree, very bad call. Definitely at least a 2 min minor just for the nature of the hit, but not 5 min major and definately not a game misconduct for a play during the whistle.
1 blow the whistle, 2 pertect yourself at all times this is not PeeWee hockey, 3 because he got mmmmm hurt and fell that was the call cause he fell and looked like he got hurt, 4 refs have to realize fans come to the game to see the players and not the refs, 5fans are getting turned off because of these types of calls.
