To get a penalty shot, the player must have full clearness and a complete puck possession, which Anderson did not have. You need at least a full step alone for that rare call to occur.
The score was NOT deceiving Habs were outplayed 5 on 5, it was almost unfair. Stop with this " tired team" excuse.
Speculating about trades is fun even if vast majority never materialize. It helps divert our attention from all the deficits the current team has. The better teams in the league certainly feasting on the Habs. I know it is a rebuild but losing a lot must get into your head at some point.

Anderson becomes very movable if we have a 3rd team willing to participate in exchange for prospect defensemen and mid to late picks.
Montreal would have to retain salary (50% 2.75), the 3rd team would have as well (50% 1.375), which leaves who ever wanted Anderson with only 1.375 as a very palatable AAV until 2026-2027.
Montreal has a giant logjam in prospect defensemen we would give a huge service to those we don’t plan having long term and mid to late picks rarely if ever blooms.
If made right now, i doubt Montreal would have any return unless the other team(s) wants to also get rid of a stinker(s) contract(s) to make room for other moves, because Anderson can’t score to save his life currently.
Its time to put Slav with Suzuki, Caufield. If they lose games eho cares better pick. Habs beat mostly bottom tier teams other then Jets and Bruins in ot.

Mtl could win big by moving Primeau, Anderson and Armia to Edmonton but, would Edmonton want them ?
Andy played well, he finished his checks everytime, he was engaged and murdered that guy that wantwd to fight him. He was pissed and really gave it to him. That said. it should've been Anderson looking to fight anyone in the beginning of the 3rd.
Im all up for trading Anderson but not for anything Pittsburgh has.
Guys. I watch pretty much every video. But you have to stop with the eternal optimism. This is another tank year. We are barely beating the bottom feeders of the league and getting stomped by the better teams.
Jake Guentzel is an unreal hockey player, on pace for an almost 100 point season. Anderson hasn't scored a single goal. I'm not sure in what universe these two names can legitimately be in the same conversation haha
I feel with his current slump, a trade including Anderson would bring better value if it were to be part of a package deal, let's say him and Allen for instance.
