So let me get this straight, you whip your stick at the puck and miss, then it goes into the opponents feet and gets caught under his skate and because you drop it, it's not a penalty, even though you already put it there so the damage was done. Like I can understand the "he stepped on the stick" to an extent but Hintz barely lifted his skate and it got caught under it, that's not his fault but it's entirely Johnson's because he put his stick in that position. Just because you drop it after that happens doesn't mean you aren't responsible. Doesn't the rule say that you can't place your stick in such a manner that it causes the opponent to trip and fall? Did Johnson not put his stick there? If he didn't, who did? It certainly wasn't Hintz. And to top it off, it ends with him injured. Like Dallas really didn't deserve to win this game and they had a bunch of missed calls on them and a bs embellishment call against Point but this non call just doesn't make sense to me.

Should have been a penalty that’s tripping all day oh wait a Tampa player was the tripper all good👍
Tripping?
It's not tripping if it's on accident
– refs
How is that not called??
That should've been tripping but the way the finished the check in a dangerous position is bullshit and dirty
“Hintz gets tripped no call refs getting paid by Tampa”
That’s like textbook tripping, what the hell
Embellishment. Quit being crybabies.
painful he flopped anyway
Thats a tripping but OK
