Missed the latter half of this show but wanted to mention, my state championship winning hockey team from 2010-2011 had “Build Me Up Buttercup” as our win song. It was LIT in the locker room, and we won a lot. Jamming out to this after winning state was one of my all time favorite moments of high school. The power of having a good win song is unmatched.
We had the meanest basketball coach in the state in 1970 and he made players run so much for punishment that his theme song that the players made up… I think it was Johnny Cash “ because your mine, you’ll run the lines”
