  1. What I don't get is the third line is a defensive line so why put Slaf there🤔. But on the other hand he will maybe think more shoot first mentality cause with Caufield he was always thinking pass pass pass to Caufield. That's my opinion, we'll soon see 😁

  2. Rebuild<<<< keyword.
This is NOT a playoff team the only thing that matters is if the team is getting the coaching it needs to improve and if the players are improving. If anything injuries HELP the team because then other prospects get a chance to show themselves to coach and management as well a chance to get ice time at the highest level.

  3. reading that i get 10-12 weeks worst case scenario not the injury being worst case, also a break tends to be 8 weeks avg even if he meant it that way

  4. Hear me out. Wideman to me isn't really important anymore and Dach and Newhook let Marty work with Slaf better and see where he fits. Yes it's still bad. He was my favorite Habs trade we have made. But we still have Caufield. Suzuki. Matheson. Monahan. Guhle. Allen. Monty. Slaf.

  5. What the heck is that, those lines r I so brutal
Why is Anderson back up on the second line and Slav is now on 3rd line with Evans and Pearson,he was doing so good,I don’t like what they r doing with these lines😡

  6. Looking at the overall lineup that remains, this team really does not have much to offer. They certainly don't have a group that can make the playoffs this year.

  7. If you're gonna move Slaf put him with Ylonen who's been playing well. Would have loved to see Monahan pivot those two for a test.

  8. i dont think its too bad…..i still wished they kept him in laval for the year and let him just tear it up down there…..no cup or even playoffs for the habs anytime soon….why cut his minutes like this, this will stunt his development. He's playing good but personally in laval he'd be first line starter and all the PP minutes….i dont hate it but still think he should be in laval

  9. #1 They wanna showcase Dvorak as a #2 center at all cost, even if he isn’t one.

#2 Monahan can’t be #2 center until Dvorak is traded even if he was always used that way from the 3rd.

#3 Slaf starting to play okay is less important than showcasing 3 vets you wanna get rid of.

#4 Calling up Stephens instead of Roy to put Monahan on the wing is ridiculous, effectively deeply weakening our center line because nobody healthy fits on the first line.

#5 still flabbergasted that what it took for Slaf to get out of his privileged status of automatic top6 for no reason was losing a considerable amount of players to the point the org doesn’t think they can afford him being top 6 even if he played decent.

  10. Slaf – surprised to seeing him on the 3rd line to, but maybe the goal is having him take the ball on that line, he has show a tendency to pass too much when playing with cole, anderson and other top 6 guys, maybe he is being told, your the main offensive guy on this line, take the puck to the net, shoot more. I hope he sticks on the pp unit. He better! I would actually like to see him kill penalties, he is a good shot blocker, I can see him generating chances on the pk to.

  11. We should change our name to the Montreal Papier-mâché's. Slaf has finally shown some good promise on the Caufield line and then they instantly break it up oh my gosh..

  12. A high ankle sprain happens when your ankle is hurt when your foot is flexed upward and then twisted either inwards or outwards. High ankle sprains take 4-6 weeks to heal, 8 weeks absolute maximum in an unfit person. Any longer for a very young fit athlete…well It begs to question??? Is it a very severe injury, is there more to this, are the Habs being conservative, are they sure just yet (is it too early and time will tell)??? My God, when will this end? I am an X-Ray, C.T. and MRI tech with 32 years of experience with this kind of injury. Upon seeing the slew foot and the tangle with the net, I would not be suprised if a knee or groin is sore as well, or worse.
