This changes nothing. We all know Kane has a no trade clause so he's playing for the Red Wings this season, and can go wherever he wants after not just Toronto. The Maple Leafs may be begging for him to help them, but the Red Wings have 1st option. It's laughable you pretend he'll be traded before he plays a game for the Red Wings. For everyone saying Kane has a no trade clause, players can waive that. The article is talking about how there is an agreement between the Wings and Kane’s agent that if the team is out of the playoffs at the TDL then the Wings are willing to do Kane a solid and trade him somewhere else and get something back. Win-win for both sides.
