  1. Sign him for #2 money why over pay like we did for shaq and Nelson, Ballard compared him to Julio and we got a Keyshawn. The only time pittman was mentioned in a meeting was, just let him catch his 7 yard passes. We're never going to stretch defenses when it's to tempting to toss it to a open pittman for 7 to 12 yards. Why draft a big arm qb to check it down all game to pittman and tightends, we could have got purdy for that in the 7th.

  2. Michael Pittman should be extended no doubt about it.He is a reliable receiver who for the most part gets the job done.If we could keep Moss that would be a real blessing.I was a Hugh Hines fan and didn't like the COLTS trading him for Moss but we WON that trade big time at least currently speaking.Kent thank you.

  3. I feel like the last game of the year vs the Texans will be flexed to Sunday night and be a win and in scenario.

  4. I wish Frank the best of luck in his future endeavors, he shouldn't quit coaching. Rather he should go back to being an OC, just do what your good at.

  5. Everyone likes Pittman, and it would be nice to resign Pittman for another contract. But you can't just say that without giving a $ amount.

He is not close to Keenan Allen's production level. No chance in hell he gets $20 mill a year.
He is at the production level of Christian Kirk, but Kirk was vastly overpaid. Do you want to overpay? 18 Million average? I sure as hell don't.
He's not at the production level of Mike Evans. $16 million average.
DeAndre Hopkins is still out-producing him and has done so consistently for his career. $13 Million/year.
He has not even produced as well as Adam Thielen, and he is old! Think Pittman would take Thielen's pay rate of just over $8 million? I don't either…

$13 mil sounds appropriate to me, with the ever-growing cap #. He won't match the production of some others at that level, but he's also scrappy, and reliable. He is a good guy off the field as well and that is worth something. He's 'our own' that's worth something. Some of that big signing could be looked at as back pay for the Reich years. I could even see going up to $15mil/year but that would need to have team-friendly details. But even then id be leary.

  6. Could you see Michael Pittman choosing to go somewhere else even if the Colts want to extend him? Like maybe he’s annoyed with having had a new QB every year and wants to try going somewhere with consistent high-level QB play

  7. Any good AD has his guy before he fires that guy!!! We all hope it is the right guy who brings excitement and gets it done!!!

  8. The Colts are going to overpay for Pitt and regret it;the same way they have with all of their big contracts.

  9. John Gruden walks into a black recruit’s household… how do you think that plays out there, Skipper?

  10. Kent, I really liked your overall evaluation of Michael Pittman, Jr. in this video segment… Very fair, very reasonable.

Agreed, he certainly is not a WR#1… He clearly is a very good WR#2.

However, if the Colts were ever fortunate enough to obtain (thru draft or trade) a legit WR#1… that would immediately elevate Pittman's potential to becoming an even better WR#2.

    And in addition…
If/when the Colts can finally settle on a truly outstanding tight end (not a gaggle of 7 of them in training camp) to go along with that legit WR#1… well… now you've got the necessary pieces in place to fully unleash a "great" WR#2.

If all this were to somehow actually happen, then Michael Pittman, Jr. would be the absolute perfect fit for such a role.

    He's got the talent…
    He's got the skill set…
    He's got the ability…
    He's got the mindset…

Unfortunately, the Colts simply do not have the proper group of athletes in that particular position stack (receiving corps)… and as long as that remains the case… the Colts will continue to struggle to ever achieve becoming a legitimate Top 5 team in the NFL… and none of us will ever have the opportunity to see just how good Michael Pittman, Jr. truly is.

    Go Colts !
    "Fly Eagles Fly…!!!"

  11. Frank Reich was the first QB of the expansion Charlotte Panthers. To them his debacle started as "a nice story."

  12. You sir, not only bring energy and entertainment on EVERY live you do, but often you hit that ball out of the park!! You are absolutely correct about Pittman too, and Ballard knows this!! He also knows the sooner Pittman is signed, the more money the team saves. Pierce is also valuable but until Richardson gets back, the fanbase wont know it, because Minshew doesnt have the arm to get the ball to Pierce like AR will. While we have not always agreed on everything, I’m glad you are finally coming around on Ballard. I’ve been telling you for years that Ballard is the best and yes, I am partial as he’s a good friend, but you only need to answer one question to prove it…… would you rather he be choosing draft picks for Houston or Jacksonville? The Colts were ripped off in the Cleveland game and I told you at the time that if Colts miss the playoffs, it will be because of the refs. I signed up for My Bookie yesterday because of you, so thank you sir!!

  13. Hey Kent
I've been on the bandwagon campaigning for a different IU Football coach for a while. Was for Urban to be called.
I watched your 2 big brains.
Your take on getting Gruden made a lot of sense. Scott hopefully listens!!!

  14. we need break away speed ar some point. Pittman & Pierce simply cannot get open down field. We have 4 posession guys running around and no game changer.

  15. I don’t hate Gardner I love the guy
He was brought in to be a back up and help AR learn the system.

Not Dink and dunk all over the yard and put up minuscule shit numbers and then gave fans claiming he’s the best WB or even best back up in the league

I don’t hate Gardner I hate all of you.

  16. He’s a decent back up and we are lucky to be 6-5. True real world analysis with stats, metrics, facts to back it up no emotion at all.

You guys have emotion. I have the truth

  17. Everyone talks about Pitt not being a #1 receiver. He may not be a traditional wideout, but at over 1,000 yards, and with his attitude and production, he's a great option for us. Letting him go elsewhere would be INSANE. What would our record be without him this year?
