Eddie, this is the second time I've had to correct you. The Kings won the division title in 1990 – 91. Click the link below

Kings Smythe Division Champions
1990-91
The main problem with PL is his impact on games. Even if he has zero points, if he had an impact where he would lay the body or create chaos in the offensive zone, or maybe great headsup defensive plays, then he might be valuable. Not 8.5×8 valuable but more valuable nonetheless. I didn't get to see the Habs game so I can't speak on that but let us look at some comparable players. I will choose two centerman in Kadri and Schenn. I am not a big Kadri fan as I think he is a big ego guy but the impact Schenn and Kadri have on games are far more definitive. Especially Schenn who I am big fan of. And that is the thing. You won't find the other guys cruising or having a bad shift. They are always noticeable. With PL I might go a whole game and only notice him on the PP and maybe a couple of moves here and there but really, he is mostly invisible. I haven't checked all the advanced stats but i would guess that possession numbers are not on his side. And if they are, i would be really shocked. He may need different linemates. I would like to see him on a line with another big body who can muck in the corners and dig out pucks. A guy like Dwight King but with a bit more offensive prowess.
2nd comment: not sure but I remember Fiala's bumblings leading to 3 shorthanded goals. I think it was Colorado or one of those but he was responsible for two shorties against and another one recently where he coughed one up on the blueline and i was raging pretty hard. I think some coach over there saw my comment to leave him on the Daneult line and have him snipe some goals instead of fancing himself as some puck wizard and look: he has started sniping goals now so the Kings franchise can thank me with some signed Kopi and Doughty merch. Also some Quick merch too and Willie Mitchell if someone can get a hold.
Okay okay, third comment by popular demand: Copley must be some lucky charm because they always win in spite of him. Let's face it, he wasn't anything special last season but everyone acted like he was some superstar. I think I remember in feetball where there was this quarterback who was terrible but he was beloved by the media and his team managed to win games in spite of his poor play. It happens but for how long? The law of averages is pretty much always a thing. Cop is a .900% goalie and he will always be that. Of course there are the occasional flare up like Accairi scored 20g one year but he is really a 5-8 goal guy and the law of averages will reduce him to that. The sv% of Cop was like .787 or some absurd figure like that. I think if you get any random goalie from the USHL, they can put up num bers better than that, so obviously, Cop was due to have a couple of good games. Keep him around. He seems to win regardless. You can't ask for more.
Got a lot of games in December and January. December only has 1 back 2 back set and all the other games have days in between. Kings should be able to sustain their first quarter play…
Copley is looking better. Perfect timing…we'll need him in the coming months.
Go Kings!
Imo the kings are the best team in the league right now and everyone wants to jack off the rangers, bruins, Vegas, etc. we never and I mean NEVER get any respect and it’s absurd!!!!!!!
I’m loving what I’m seeing … and a side note, so far, we won’t have to see Oilers in the first round 🏒😁
Vancouver won’t sustain there level of play
The Kings won the Smythe division in 1990-91.
