I remember not to long ago when I watch every Islanders pregame show that's part of my routine…and now don't remember last game that I don't fall to sleep during the game..unwatchable pathetic organization destroyed by single senile porson…goodnight Islanders❤
1/4 of the season done. 5 aav and JGP has one goal. Meanwhile what the isles need is in the aHl. IShkakov. This organization is a joke.
Good morning team. I have no words. I'm going to brush this one off and get on to the next one. Thanks again, Gil. Everyone, have a great day. See you all tomorrow. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!
Good job as usual Gil. Like I said. “The only possible way NJ could win this game is if we take penalties because they can’t beat us 5 on 5.” So of course we gave the NJ Devils exactly what they needed to come from behind and win. I don’t have a problem with our players, I don’t even have a problem with Lou and thank God for our owners, but this entire coaching staff needs to be let go. Also, I do not want these ♻️ HCs like Gallant etc etc. I like to see a new young coaching staff from the AHL. What the Edmonton Oilers just did. Needs to be done asap with our team.
try to keep scoring goals in third period? go for at least six goals in game?
Mayfield does it again. That was the dumbest giveaway I've ever seen. Then he's standing around with his thumb up his arse during the 5 on 3 goal. He was right there next to the Devil in front of the net but never tied up his stick. Didn't even try until it was too late. He had a terrible game.
I'll give Reilly a pass on his 'I'm Wayne' moment where he skates right into 2 defenders at the blue line and tries to make an impossible play. That turnover led to a goal.
I know Lane believes in keeping up pressure to protect a lead, but it's killing us in 3rd periods. We need to keep 3 men high and wait for big opportunities.
Look, if you're too scared to call it as it is then why bother? It's not the economy stupid. It's the COACH stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just name the podcast "Oops, another example of awful coaching Part 151".
it's becoming harder and harder to watch this team. Yes, there are glimpses of positive things, but man, we just need more… a lot more… for the love of god and this fan base, the front office has to do something MAJOR.
Good morning Gil, I am not sure if I can watch the next islander game..to me since Barry Trotz left the team it’s not the same..Gm lou must go 😢
It’s rough, and disappointing
2-0 lead vs DET
3-1 lead vs CAR
3-2 lead at VAN
3-2 lead at SEA
3-2 lead at CGY
4-3 lead at CGY
4-2 lead at NJD
Blown leads.
Since Oct. 30, the Islanders have blown these leads in the 3rd period alone:
2-0
2-1
3-1
3-2
3-2
3-2
4-3
4-2
4-3
This was the ninth time the Islanders have either given up the game-winner in the third period or allowed the game to be tied and lost in overtime.
What a joke! Tired act.
reilly has to adjust to the system lol looks like he's doing just that !!! Fans just don't go …only way ledeck gonna get the picture. empty new arena. i have been a season ticket holder for ten years until this year, thankfully i took a pass and it was an awesome decision
Gil, I can hear the frustration in you voice 😂.
Penalties and turnovers are this team's 3rd period identity. Is anyone from ownership downwards looking at this team under any illusion that this team is NOT capable of competing for a title until there is a MAJOR shift in discipline and accountability. What I am also concerned about is the effect of this on Sorokin who is an elite player. Dobson and many of the other players have regressed. I think the team under new leadership could build a contender around Horvat, Nelson, and a couple of other players.
Shut it off after 2nd period and knew what was coming
Sorokin 28th in NHL in save percentage. Not the same guy as last year. Not all on him in any case but stats don't lie.
Barzal is the king of stupid penalties
Barzal is their best player but he is nowhere near a superstar. 50 other players in the NHL I would rather have than him.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result! Change is needed!!!!!
A loss like that can follow you around for a while. I wouldn’t be surprised if another losing streak is close behind.
And wings just got better. Signing p. kane to a nice one year $2.5 mill. deal. He and cat can have some fun together once again. Good move for a team on the move with flexibility to do that. If kane works out yzerman can re-sign him. If not just walk away. Yzerman wont marry himself to players like you know who does. And wings are another team that have passed isles who they will be looking up at rest of season.
Gil I had a tantrum like a 10 year old. I’m very close to abandoning this team. It causes me major grief and frustration. This one broke the camels back. Someone has to pay. I had a very bad night. Lane has to go. Lou should quit. Owners are idiots. Take care Gil.
What bothers me the most about the Islanders is the front office makes no attempt to improve the club. For the last three years, the team struggled on the power play and, instead of trying to get someone who can put the puck in the net, all the front office kept saying was: "We're a defense-first team." I'm getting tired of watching the same players year after year and thinking the best the Islanders can do is squeak into the playoffs so that they can get eliminated within the first two rounds.
