On December 2, 1993, the first regular season meeting took place between the Los Angeles Kings and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim at a sold-out Great Western Forum. Rick Knickle made 22 saves, and Jari Kurri scored two goals and three points in a 3-2 win for the Kings.

When the Ducks first started playing in the NHL, it tore apart my entire friend group. Lots of them decided to jump over to being Ducks fans for whatever reason, mostly because Disney owned them and their moms were excited about that. I was already die hard for the Kings though.
I went to the second game that season, the first they played in Anaheim, as a guest of a family that switched hard to the Ducks. I played it cool until we got to the arena, but when Wildwing flew down from the rafters, I booed him as loud as I possibly could. I screamed my little Kings fan ass off that whole game. It was awesome.
Kind of a failure of the schedule makers to not make that the opening game of the season
How did we not win a cup with all those guys and Hearing those names on both teams with bob, the nostalgia hit.
That majestic Melrose mullet. It must have been a beautiful sight in person.
What a rough game holy shiiii !!!
One of my favorite players JarI Kurri… I still proudly wear his jersey to the Kings game.
