  1. The Coach isn't training on using the Boards Correctly because it Stands Out.
They also train the Players to be Out of Position and it Dramatically Increases Your Work Load and Injuries.
Suzuki is Right and They need to Listen to the Good Positional Players and Stop Blaming Them for Bad Positional Coaching.

  2. No hating on Armia this year for me He handled his demotion to the AHL with class. Didn't whine or quit Went down there played good and earned his way back And has been a noticeable contributor on the ice.

  3. Hi, Josh, Jesse, and friends. I love Suzuki as captain. We really need help on the powerplay. We need all the fighters we can get with this small team. I really don't know what to say tonight. Lol! Have a great night all.

  4. Like Tony Marinaro says, "is this a joke"? and "i'm not gonna take it anymore". This team has pissed me off one last time. They simply do not care.

  5. The offensive talent disparity was simply too much for Montreal to handle, you can’t beat consistently teams when they have a better first, 2nd, 3rd, 4th line, first pair, 2nd pair, 3rd pair, unless your goaltender is Ville Husso.

  6. Something that could help the power play is getting Caufield to go to another position on the power play and change positions a great deal. Teams are expecting Montreal to try and get Caufield a shot and right on cue they try. Do something different for a while. Find some different ways to score and then come back to Caufield and it will work again.

  7. Armia is number one for goals for minute playd, he’s a beast on defense, he’s the most reliable player in all zone and people hate him? Why? Cause a lot of them don’t understand what he brings defensively , when it was 4-4 at the end of the game and the wings were pressing gallagher, Anderson, caufield weren’t one the ice , armia was

People bitch about the money he’s making but nothing compare to what Anderson and gallagher are making on far bigger term , I also know that some fan see caufield as the next big thing , but at almost 8 mil/year , this guy will become a burden for the habs and his contract won’t aged well ,he’s a liability and useless without the puck, he’s brutal and worthless in his own zone . Sure he can score goals, just not at five on five . To me paying caufield 8 mil isn’t worth it for his 25 goals , Hugues should trade him as soon as he gets hot, if he ever does again

  8. Hutson is like a cartoon compared to Makar.. Makar is elegant, makes one or two MAYBE 3 nifty moves and scores.. But on the other hand, Hutson makes 20 nifty moves ALL THE TIME.. I don't know how he will convert his exuberant plays holding the puck in the NHL

  9. everyone is expecting this "rebuild" to be on track for a big push in 2 – 3 years. i just see us peaking at middle of the pack for the next 5 – 8 years

  10. Cough it up Caufield needs to stop with the turnovers, pass the puck before you get caught.

  11. Oh god, come on guys. Seriously, Makar is on a completely different level. You're talking about college hockey, Makar is a lot bigger than Hutson, I don't even think he is 5ft10, I don't trust the exaggerated numbers. He's not the next coming of Cale Makar. The team is disorganized, that's on the coaching, there is way too much standing still everywhere on the ice. Reinbacher has regressed this year, not a good thing to see, he isn't going to be paid to punch someone out. I know you want to pump the videos up, but think about what you're saying.

  12. What i find interesting is when a player on the team especially a captain, speaks up and does his job by keeping people accountable..how does this become a highlight? When they finally say something a majority of fans say every night, I think it’s odd we talk about it.

It should be happening behind the scenes every night and what Suzuki said was a fraction of what should have been said to the younger players. Armia coming up from Laval and scoring along with Lindstrom and Ylonen is NOT a good look for the main guys.

  13. Here's a plan:

You can retain salary of max 3 players. For 23-24 there's two: Joel Edmundson and Jeff Petry. So there's room for one more. I'd choose Tanner Pearson, so trade him this season and retain some of his salary so you can get as high a draft pick (or perhaps a prospect) in return as possible. Also trade Sean Monahan, you should be able to find a contender team that can afford his 1.985m$ cap hit.

For Joel Edmundson and Tanner Pearson, you don't have to retain salary for next season as their contracts end after this season. So, for 24-25, there's only Jeff Petry's salary retained. So there's two more slots left open for retained salary. Joel Armia's, Chris Dvorak's and David Savard's contracts end 24-25, so trade them and retain some of the salaries from two of them (again, to get as high a draft pick as possible in return).

Also at the end of 24-25, trade Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Jordan Harris and Jesse Ylönen. They're all RFA's after that season, so you could get a decent return. Then, in the summer '25, try to trade Josh Anderson. You should be able to do that if you retain 50% of his salary for 25-26 & 26-27. Also, before the season 25-26, you should be able to trade Mike Matheson if you retain some of his salary. It hurts, but the return should be decent.

Jake Evans is UFA after 24-25. Try to sign him.
Michael Pezzetta is UFA after 24-25. Try to sign him.
Mitchell Stephens is UFA after 23-24. Try to sign him.

So 25-26 the roster could be:

    Caufield – Suzuki – Slafkovsky
    Farrell – Dach – Roy
    Newhook – Beck – Mesar
    Heineman – Evans – Gallagher
    Pezzetta, Stephens

    Guhle – Barron
    Hutson – Reinbacher
    Xhekaj – Mailloux
    Kovacevic

During or after 25-26, Jan Mysak, Riley Kidney, Jared Davidson, Vinzenz Rohrer, Luke Tuch, Adam Engström and Bogdan Konyushkov should emerge. And there's still Jayden Struble, Mattias Norlinder and William Trudeau who could be in the mix even before that. And of course, all the draft picks from '24, '25 and '26… I think this team should be very good in 25-26 and 26-27 we could actually be a contender.

  14. Since the power play is so poor for so long , why aren't there 3 or 4 set plays that they practice and perfect ? Nobody's crashing the net and they just pass around the outside waiting for an opening – that won't cut it.

  15. Suzuki is not wrong. There are a lot of mistakes by this team and their mistakes lead to a lot of goals. Mistakes are to be expected but over time but they should makes less mistakes.

  16. Maybe they should start the fourth line on the power play because the so called first and second lines had to many chances time to give 3rd and 4 th lines a chance

  17. Lane is or was second worst plus minus on the Boston team that should be a concern.A minus player is on for more goals against than for and that equates to losing.Matter of fact there were only 2 players on the entire Boston team that were a minus and Lane was one of the two.
Noting the powerplay I stated those issues long ago .We have a low shooting IQ we dont elevate the puck which should be automatic knowing goalies go down every single shot. The other issue is the VERY predictable powerplay setup dropping it back without any thinking that is NOT good players should be taught to think.
I do not think it is ALL about the Habs playing better in the 2nd and third because typically teams sit on their leads and let up.When teams pressure the Habs in their own end we look real bad as bad as any team in the league because we don't play positionally we play a ZONE setup and this is not football.

  18. You can't only look at offensive numbers the name of the game is WINNING and NOT the individual.if lane joins the Habs and scores 80 pts everyone will be raving Norris trophy but if he ends u pa minus 10 or worse he is not worthy of accolades he MUST play as a winner not a loser HQ>>flash.
