  1. Had to put $20 on Panarin to win the Hart after this…should have done it earlier in the week.

  2. Aromatic-Result1154

I heart Quick. He’s showing me that he grew up bleeding blue just like the rest of us. He’s doing a great job for Tex’s Rangers! Props!

  3. Dont_know_where_i_am

I just want to know what the answer was to the trivia question. If they answered it during the game, I did not hear or see it

  4. -RomeoZulu-

I thought that was really considerate of the guys to honor the ex coaches’ return by playing DQ hockey there for a bit.

  5. RhesusMonkey17

We scored more goals than they did. 2 points. I’m happy.

Who were the 3 stars? Freakin’ NHLN cut off right after the final whistle. My picks: 1) Bread 2) Zibby 3) Brodz.

  6. Negative_Surround971

This game showed me we need to target duclair at the deadline.

  8. I’m glad they’re finding ways to win, but their defensive structure hasn’t been the same since the Red Wings game

  9. duckets615

Maybe closer than you’d like against the last place team but it’s #2 of a back to back with travel against a team that’s been playing better as of late. They controlled the play and had an answer to every Shark surge. They got the job done, got the points and a 1 goal win is the same as a 5 goal win in the standings.

  10. Gonna get massive hate for this but Brodzinski has been much better than Kakko. He’s got more points in 2 games than Kakko does in 20 games.

  11. Wesley__Willis

Breadman is almost uncontainable at this point. Just doing whatever he wants out there.

  12. Sharks look pretty good for 6 win team.

Good close wins in back to back games when you can tell they’re tired as hell. Can’t ever be ungrateful for a W.

Panarin is on a crazy run this year, we’re unstoppable when he scores. Mika is also on a mini points streak which is nice to see. Having Fox back is a such a boon as well. Brodz coming up and playing so well is amazing. He has to stay.

Not much time to rest up, don’t get penisy. Got a pretty tough weekend next week.

    The Hork’s View from 222

    * New (to me at least) safety and “Don’t be a jerk” animated music short. If you remember Homestar Runner, it’s very LimoZeen
    * Jada performed a phenomenal anthem, even the Sharks players were giving stick taps.
    * I told my friends to watch Duclair because he’s been doing well and we might look to snag him at the trade deadline. Well, sure enough he opens it all up.
    * Terrible power kill on that first go around. Good thing we get to try again. And succeed! Way to go Breadman!
    * I don’t gamble, but I have advised a few of my friends that Adam Fox is a lock on power play points. Hat Tip Greg Kaplan of BSB, who has been saying the same. They’re up about $20 for the weekend.
    * Hartemi!!! Again! I was feeling like he was going to get the trifecta even at this point.
    * Mika from Kreider and Jonny Brod, love to see it. Mika continues to put up points and I’m very glad.
    * This is as good a place as any to say it, Jonny Brod has to stay on that line. Wheeler moving down was a good idea and having someone else there is good. And Brodzinsky looks like he wants to stay put.
    * This was an absolutely exciting first period. I was hoping that the game would calm down a little. No such luck, excitement the whole way through.
    * Jr Rangers are always a treat to see during Intermission. That’s gotta be a lifetime memory.
    * Name that artist. Rachel nailed it all, but can we agree Mariah Carey is overplayed at Christmas? Then again, Rachel also won tickets for a Mariah Carey concert, so it’s on brand I guess…
    * BS tripping call, and pretty bad goalie interference call as well. The refs did nice for us at first, then they started blowing it. Also, on one of our goals they totally missed that the puck rode the netting and they just let play continue.
    * Karaoke Cam – Sweet Caroline. At least one daughter looking terribly embarrassed by her father rocking it hard.
    * CUYLLE!!! what a score! And Quickie! What a bunch of saves right after! This team doesn’t give up.
    * Second Intermission, one of the only complaints I have about 222 is the men’s room there is always overrun at Intermission. Yikes!
    * ARTEMI HAT TRICK PANARIN! This is why you always being a spare hat so you can throw your cheap beanie instead of a… more expensive hat…
    * I *totally* though Kreider had it on that breakaway. The whole Garden got up and was wondering why the song wasn’t playing.
    * That possession before the Miller goal, we knew something good was happening. That fourth line is REALLY cooking!
    * And of course, respect to Miller who had done defensive mistakes but still is a solid player that I look forward to keeping for years to come.
    * But Jesus H Christ, dropping two at the end like that was terrifying. Really scary that something *bad and embarrassing* might happen.
    * Thankfully nothing did, but Jesus why can’t we shoot for the open net??? We looked to have plenty of chances to and NOBODY seemed to want to take it!
    * Finally, thank you to the nice woman who offered to take pictures of my friends and I. When you asked the guy next to me to get a picture of you and your boyfriend, it was his idea to get a selfie of him and I. I take no responsibility for it!

Hard fight against a bottom place team that was coming off a great win while we were coming off a back to back against a hard opponent ourselves. The team fought to keep it going. Quick looked like a mere mortal tonight, but he was still the better goalie and we were the better team.

The march to 77-4-1 continues. But I need a nap…

Did they ever answer the Cadillac™ Trivia Question?

  15. AdamFoxxx

Hate to say it but the combination of Kakkos injury and if Brodzinki keeps up this play over a few more weeks – I think Kakkos time is done as a Ranger. He’s been way more effective than Kakko already, and I think the sooner everyone accepts that, the easier it is to swallow.

I would love to see Kakko to SJS in some sort of trade for Duclair. Then we dump Goodrow off in the off season and resign Duclair to solidify a solid RW1 for a few years. He won’t be overly expensive and I think it’s doable especially with the cap going up after next year.

Edit – love the downvotes lmao yall need to get over Kakko.

  16. greysfordays

glad breadman has the ok to do “stupid shit at the blue line” bc his flow has been so much better this year too it’s nuts and he seems way more relaxed

  17. gimmer0074

can anyone help me find a new version of the hat I threw on the ice for the hat trick. Its light / baby blue baseball cap with a white nyr shield logo, it was sold at MSG. can’t find it anywhere

  18. Sjdillon10

The game being close is on me boys. I made a big parlay. Got Panarin, Mika, Laf, duclair all getting points. Got the rangers leading all periods.

But i also did rangers -1.5 so the gods in Vegas forbade it from being a cozy win

  19. Key-Tip-7521

This was a game where the Rangers were able to swim with the Sharks, and able to drown them. But, the ending was like Jaws taking a bite out of the Orca. But this episode of Rangers Hockey: *We’re gonna Need a Bigger Boat.* A game where it looked like a complete domination, but taking the foot off the gas gave the fans a sense of nervousness.

1st: Sloppy start of the game. Duclair scored as well did Carpenter. Two former Rangers. At first it felt like a trap game. Panarin tied the game at one. Artemi Panarin, (whispers) It’s a power play goal! Bread got a second goal of the period. But to the dirty area. This Bread-Troch-Laf line has been amazing. Mika joined in on the fun. What a way to end the period.

2nd: The Sharks responded on the PP. Will Cuylle got on the scoresheet. period really good shifts. but the Rangers defensively was meh tonight.

3rd: The Rangers then took control. Bread gets the hat trick, and a couple of apples. Key got a goal. JQ had his worst game imo. Was it on him? or the D? Who knows. But it was a bit nerve racking.

Overall, the Rangers offensively was a great. However, they can’t take the foot off the gas like they did against better teams. It was a nervous one. But one thing I liked is that, everyone is contributing. Team wasn’t like that last year. Lav has done an unbelievable job. But, the Rangers win! another 3 game winning streak. It has been impressive. Gotta continue it. Onto the Senators

Rangers Oppie called in; “Take in the Sheets. 2 points in the bag.” Onto the Senators

God Save the King. Back afta dis

  20. FluffyPorcupine_

Don’t worry I’ll volunteer to make sure panarin gets lucky tonight after that performance
