Emil Heineman Returns With A Big Night (1G, 1A)/Jakub Dobes Struggles Continue 12-2-23

Emil Heineman in just his 2nd game back from injury that saw him miss 6 weeks as able to pick up his 1st of the season and now has 3 points in 4 games. Laval once again got off to a rocky start due to defensive breakdowns putting rookie Jakub Dobes in a tough spot which led to him being pulled. Laval got the message though as they played much better after that and were able to make a game of it. Joshua Roy was so close to getting a couple points as he’s now pointless in the last 6 games and a -10 to boot but it just shows that some fans that wanted him called up after his 5 point game that it is better for him to find his way in the AHL and grow while not having the pressure cooker that is Montreal.

Dobes – stopped 4 of 7
Mann – stopped 19 of 20
Heineman – 1 goal, 1 assist, 3 shots, Even
Simoneau – 1 goal, 1 shot, +1
Beaudin – 1 assist, 1 shot, Even

Heineman Goal – 4:42
Simoneau Goal (Heineman Assist) – 5:46

  1. Holy…Dobes looks awful. Hope he finds his game. Any relation to Roys lack of production relating to Farrells injury? Prior to that, based on your earlier clips, it really seemed to me that Farrell was the play-driver, not Roy.

  2. Dobes is losing his angles, bad goals are getting in his head, and his adjustment is taking longer than I thought. I think his game is right around the corner, but what Houle is doing isn't good for either goaltender. If the play an excellent game, win or lose, keep them in there. /the rotations are getting ridiculous with both the big club, and Laval. The defense is brutal on both teams too. Both teams, way too much standing still, players are blowing right by them. The structure is brutal on both teams, that falls on the coaches. Wow, to add one last thing, I can't believe how soft both teams play??!
