Making Sense of the New York Rangers Roster Shuffle…

The New York Rangers will get a key player back on Wednesday, but lose a player as well to injured reserve. On Tuesday, they made several callup and send down transactions with Hartford. Let’s talk about the changes, how they will affect the roster, as well as the salary cap, and how these injuries could affect the Rangers at the trade deadline. Also, I have some thoughts on Patrick Kane signing with Detroit.

  1. Can't believe the Rangers record, without Fox. Also it must be frustrating to have your home ice be one of the worst in the league. The ice quality at MSG had always been poor and it's very noticeable.

  2. Nice jersey! I wish the Rangers would bring it back once in a while. Haven't seen it on the ice since 1997.

  3. I had no clue it was this complicated. I figured the Cap was just based on your roster at the beginning of the year and you could not over spend. The idea of freeing up money on a game to game basis is nuts.
