  1. CP has a net worth of $35 million. i have a feeling he will win if he contests his termination so he will be ok either way.

  2. Not 100% sure but a signing bonus doesn't have anything to do with games played unless stipulated in the contract, he was paid $2 mil to SIGN the contract

  3. The clawback of the signing bonus is a matter for LAWYERS to discuss since Perry didn't willingly separate from the team. Unless you have the Hawks/Perry contract in front of you, you don't know what it says or entails, no matter who claims what. Dude, you're covering the greatest SPORT on the planet. You don't need to be a Yenta. Focus on real NHL news and not on the perils and tribulations of its individual personalities. Normally multi-million dollar contracts are covered with some form of risk mitigation, like INSURANCE, paid by the team. Doubt Perry will be writing any checks without a court order and threat of contempt.

  4. Ordered a bunch of deep dish pizzas and put it on the team dime all with pineapple. Them Chicagoans are serious about their pizza.

  5. The signing bonus can't be touched. That was a signing bonus that was money they were willing to pay him up front to sign his contract with Chicago Blackhawks, which meant 2 million dollars of the 4 million dollars, was paid immediately. His salary was now $500000 for every 25% of the season he played so technically the Chicago Blackhawks still owe Corey Perry $500000. Not the other way around.

  6. Signing bonus is for SIGNING! It's literally cash for putting your name on a piece of paper. That money is earned the minute you finish writing. He doesn't owe them a dang thing!
