If we were 3rd in the division and Florida was let’s say 5 points off of us and Boston 9 points off I would still expect them to miss the playoffs, but given how close the battle is up top I think there’s a huge chance
I was thinking 4-6 in the division. That could still happen, there's a lot of season left to play, but I'm gonna enjoy the success until it changes.

Reimer hasn't played since Sweden. We need to know what we have in all three of these guys. They should all get a game this week. It's not complicated, I hate it when the logic is to go with the hot hand because how can another guy get hot if he never gets a chance to play?
My prediction before the season was that this team was going to be competitive obviously wasn’t sure how competitive or where they were gonna finish but I was thinking 5th or 6th place. Now that the season has started, I have the expectation that they make it to the playoffs do they stay in 3rd place in this division, probably not but I do see this team making it. While again they might not win first year in they can take a run at a cup and maybe they’ll surprise us.
Husso has been letting in weak goals, glove side especially, and that's what he did against Montreal. 2 weak goals a game is what we can expect from Husso, no matter who we play.

I had agreed with Stevie Y's cautionionary remarks before the season began that we had very little chance of making the play-offs. I thought Senators were ahead of us in the rebuild and that Tampa was definitely going to make it in. Now I look at the standings and its clear that both teams, along with the Sabers, have issues that make their future uncertain. Right now, I look ahead and it seems like Toronto has a slightly tougher schedule going forward.

I thought at the start of the season we MAY make the playoffs. But was a huge difference from the last 2 years. Now I think we make the playoffs forsure and could be out of the wildcard spots.

Last season for the RedWings at this time GF: 77, GA: 76
This Season for the Redwings at this time GF: 86, GA: 68
Both teams have identical records but the big improvements was the GF and GA. They're scoring more and conceding less.
Redwings will make it as a wild card team. That's my expectation this season.
when stevie took over as gm i predicted our wings would make the playoffs this year. the problem is that how i thought we would accomplish this was completely wrong.
In truth I was pretty skeptical about the Wings making the playoffs this year originally. I stick with that. I am not rooting against them. When they have their A game going they are hard to beat. My concern is that the D, other than Mo and Walman and Ghost on the PP are a bit shaky. Goaltending is also a mystery. Also, the ability for the whole team to play 60 minutes night in and night out, doesn't seem to be there. Even during this streak they gave away 1 to the Rangers and almost gave away one to the Canadiens. We'll how they do this week against a couple teams that are chasing them.
So I went in to the season thinking the Red Wings would be a 94 point team. Last year that was good enough for Playoffs. This year I think it will be too, to be honest. My expectations have risen from Wild Card to potentially divisional spot. I can see Tampa falling to the Wild Card.
Listen. I provided enough stats to show how husso is not the man and Lyon needs more starts, Reimer needs more starts and husso needs a rest for 2 weeks.
