Imagine if FSU beat Georgia with a 2nd string QB and Texas or Alabama take a loss in the worst way. There’s going to be a lot of hush mouths.
Name the SEC teams FSU beat – 3 loss LSU who Bama and Ole Miss also beat and 7 loss Florida….quality wins right there.
Name the top 10 team FSU beat – No One University.
Name the top SEC teams – Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Mizzou…..which nonconference opponent beat either of those teams? Texas.
Name the only top 10 team that only beat opponents with 3 losses or more – FSU. Look at the actual stats.
Their strength of schedule rating is very important because every team in the top 6 is undefeated against the FSU opponents. If they deserved the spot for playing mid-level opponents and going undefeated, Liberty deserves to be in the top 10…..but they don't. You don't earn a playoff birth by playing mediocre teams and avoiding any serious competition. You definitely don't help your case when your quarterbacks can't throw touchdowns – the FSU quarterbacks didn't throw a single touch down vs Florida or Louisville.

im rooting for Michigan also..i thought FSU was plaing Ohio State in the cotton bowl… its hard to keep up with it sometimes…. wow so if FSU plays Georgia… a pissed offffffff 2 timeeeee Defending National champion …. Georgia is going to rolll big time in this game…..escpecially with no jordan travis for FSU.. they struggle to score. I predicted that Georgia is going to make an EXAMPLE out of Florida State…and to the CFP committe for leaving them out. Even with that one loss to bamma… if Georgia had gotten in.. despite Michigan being #1… i would still favor Georgia to win a 3rd straight title…but thats a mute point now. Can you not just be understanding and admit that fsu does not have a chance without Travis. I’m a bama fan, but I could def admit that bama wouldn’t have a chance without Milroe. Travis is a lot better of a qb, but the way Bama is putting the pieces together right now they are much more deserving to be in then fsu. My argument would be Michigan and or Ohio state if they had beat Michigan. Those schedules are an absolute joke Penn state is awful and espn only makes them sound better every year so that mich and os look better.

This is a media push for power 2 conference, ignore Michigan getting blown out by Georgia and losing to TCU…or the fact Jim Harbaugh is 1-8 in bowl games at Michigan..Ohio state getting blow out twice 31-0 to Clemson and 51-24 to Alabama..None of it gets brought into Question..This is really saying "ACC teams that bring money, it is time to jump ship if you want to be in the playoffs". and why? Disney owns Fox Sports and ESPN, they are the ones airing the playoffs.

Finebaums the stupidest human being on television. I mean he's literally suggesting that TCU last year should have been declared the loser after beating Michigan last year IN THE PLAYOFFS, and someone with a more talented roster should have been voted into their place. If scheduling and beating a team like LSU then winning the ACC by winning every game isn't enough to get in because your quarterback is hurt, should they have for footed every game and kept a healthier team who lost every game, because wha finebaums saying is avoiding injuries is more important than wins, and he's apparently right since that's exactly what the committee did by voting in healthier teams who lost. Just assemble the best roster you can, but don't play them then, save your starters for the vote.. So if Michigan for example wins their playoff games, and beats Alabama in the semi finals to go to the Championship, but their quarteeback goes down in the fourth quarter, then are they going to declare the team who lost as more talented and move Alabama to the championship despite losing? Because that's the EXACT SAME THING THEY DID TO FLORIDA STATE, THATS NOT AT ALL ANY DIFFERENT. in fact, why risk playing any games, just have everyone assemble their best most talented team, have the committee evaluate each team, maybe even do some sort of combine like event where they watch them throw and time them running, and then declare a national champion every year! Why play any actual football games? In fact, the 2007 Patriots are the most talented team I ever saw, and even though they lost to the giants I think we can all agree if they'd played again, the Patriots would have won 9 out of ten times, so we should fix that and declare the Patriots win that Superbowl if you ask me…..
What a pile of crap from both. You have 3 undefeated conference champions, Michigan, UW, Florida State. They should be in. For the last spot, you have two champions with a 12-1 record. The first criteria in such a case should be the head to head record, and in this case there is one. Earlier this season, Texas won against Alabama, in Alabama. Case closed. College football is corrupt and SEC has privileges like the aristocracy had before the American and French revolutions. College foorball is stuck in the 18th century…and the spinning doctors from ESPN are a joke…
