A GM should explore anything, all we know is he got drunk at a team event and did something really stupid. It wasn’t criminal, it was a workplace violation. It sounds like it is embarrassing more than anything. If this was Bedard would the team have done the same thing? There would have been 31 attempted waiver claims. I know we lift people up only for the chance to tear them down.
He is a playoff player most teams take him lately for his experience and playoff player when Canadians made there run the got stall on a one year and Perry was also there price got hurt in the end and they lost 3 rd round

This is a colossal mistake if they take him. Has a lot more to do with his age than his bizarre troubles that are so embarrassing no one will talk about them & we don’t even know what they are. But we have our 38yr old veteran player & we like him. We don’t need 2 38yr old men. And just imagine how bad it is for the young farm team players who can’t get their opportunity because the NHL team keeps paying for old rental players to fill roster spots. One is enough especially when you know you have a good veteran that isn’t an alcoholic.

Not just Pickard clearing waivers but at least another player (probably Erne). Pickard is only $762,500 so adding $775,000 for Erne gets us to $1,537,500. Campbell costs us $1,150,000. Yes we have Holloway on LTIR BUT we also have Gagner and Hamblin up (and Broberg) so someone has to go (or more than one). Great vid.
