Toronto is Very Weak up the Right Side with all Lefties in that Position.
They have 6 Great Right Hand Players in the Marlies with Gaudette, OBrien and Anderson with Miller and Villeneuve on Defense.
This will Dramatically Strengthen the Leafs and They can Trade Bertuzzi, Reaves, Klingberg, Liljgren to make Contract Room.
Easy Peasy but will this Management Catch On.
Those Guys would make the Leafs Much Stronger on the Puck both ways.
Cap casualty = horrendous asset management and cap management, don’t ever conflate their ineptitude and reluctance to make a meaningful trade of substance, and give them a pass for their unwillingness to make the necessary moves like re-signing and or monetizing guys they knew they could never keep.

It's Samsonov I'd be looking to trade too, the guy hasn't got the mentals for professional hockey…. I'm wondering if Edmonton are desperate enough…probably not.
My biggest concern isnt the players… Its Shanahan, Treliving and Keefe. I'm of the opinion nothing changes till they exit the building.

Last thought would be….dont place undue expectations on Liljegren and Timmins…. they're 5/6 D men, who are injury prone.
Sorry, no. Dubas grossly overpaid players. A lot of them. Look at the Johnsson or Kapanen contracts as examples. There was no excuse for what he did.
The three big money forwards is a proven failure. It would be a mistake to pay Nylander much more than Bo Horvat money. Imagine how little effort 31 year old Nylander will be putting in. Sell high and move him for a defenseman or a center.
Glass half full: The Maple Leafs are tied with The Dallas Stars for the fifth LEAST regulation losses. Only the Bruins, Kings, Golden Knights and Rangers have lost less games in regulation. I just thought I'd leave this stat here with all of the talk about the lack of regulation wins.
